MY KINGSTON DATA TRAVELER SAY WRITE PROTECTED HOW CAN I FORMAT IT CAUSE WHEN I FORMAT IT DIRECTLY IT SAY DEVICE IS WRITE PROTECTED BUT MY USB DEVICE DOES NOT HAVE THAT KIND OF SPECIFICATION TO HAVE A WRITE PROTECT DISK
my kinsgton usb won't work. when i try to open the files on my pc,it says that it needs to be re-formatted. but when i try to re-formatit, it says that it can't be re-formatted because it iswrite-protected. i know that for floppy discs, you can choose to haveit write-protected simply by pushing/sliding a notch on the disc.however, i don't see any similar notch/button on my usb. how do i solvethis? say me the solution
I try to answer this even it is late.
If this doesn'thave any movable switch. Actually very small switch on part of it. You got virus in it. Usually it is hidden, and usually name AUTORUN.INF. run scan to your usb drive.
