SOURCE: My AMD Athlon(tm) X2 Dual-Core QL-64 by Gateway

"under the same modem" .. you mean connected to the same router?
if you are using an external USB modem, try a different cable -and keep it short. I can't think right now of any clear causes of this problem other than a bad USB (or too long) cable (which can cause exactly this problem).

possibilities.. could be a cordless phone, cellular, wireless mouse/headphones/controller, bluetooth .. many of these devices connect with their receiver regularly and use almost identical fequencies which interfere.

Doubt it is a network conflict -where someone else has the same IP address. You could try setting a manual IP address too..

good luck!

Can MSI MS-6380E support radeon x1800?

http://www.legendmicro.com/store/2940_MSI-MS-6380E-010-KT3-Ultra-Socket-A-Socket-462-for-AMD-Athlon-XPDuron-Processor.lmsp

1) Motherboard uses a Socket A processor socket. Also known as Socket 462.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socket_A

When they switched from the Athlon single-core processors, to the Athlon 64-bit dual-core processors, they went to a completely different processor socket.

AM2,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socket_AM2

So using the MSI MS-6380E motherboard with a dual core AMD processor = NO.

I don't seem to find an AMD Athlon 64 X2 1.8GigaHertz processor, except for a mobile version. One used for a laptop in otherwords,

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113047

Uses a Socket S1 mobile processor socket,

List of AMD Athlon 64 microprocessors,

Pretend like I'm from Missouri, and Show Me.

Find the processor by it's AMD part number, and post the URL of the website in a Comment.

http://www.amazon.com/AMD-Athlon-Venice-Single-Core-Processor/dp/B003RXLMCC

AMD Athlon 64 3000+
SINGLE-core processor, not X2.
(Socket 939 processor socket, too)

Show me the Processor, and then we can go on.

How to properly install amd Athlon64 X2 Dual-Core drivers and optimizer.---------Should I unistall the one that is on there or will the setup program do it for me, AND which do i run first optimizer or the...

The install program should overwrite the older driver, so uninstall isn't necessary. I would recommend first installing the driver update and afterwards installing the dual core optimizer.

I have an AMD Athlon FX 2 dual processor and am using Core Temp to monitor the temps of which are posting 44 to 50 while using my computer. Is this normal?

I believe normal temperatures range from 41 to 95. At least from this laptop that is running a dual processor:

From my experience as long as its not running over 100 then you'll be fine. If you have any doubts about your computer overheating you can always apply more compound to the heatsink and also buy a bigger one where the fan runs faster to keep things cooler inside of the case and always remember to have the side doors on as well.

Intel Pentium Dual Core and AMD Athlon 64 X2 processors

I'd advise don't start thinking below E2180. As per the performance go, E2180 and AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ are almost same but E2180 runs cooler. If you are going to use dedicated graphics card, go for E2180 and if you want a CPU for Integrated Graphics go for AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ because most of the 780G/790X chip-based AMD-compatible boards offer superior IGP.

E2180 Vs Athlon 64 X2 5000+

depends on what you plan to do with the cpu amd are good but a 3200 may only run @ 1.8 to 3.2 ghz depending while a intel 3200 will run 3.2 ghz.
I believe intel are more stable & run cooler than AMD but AMD benchmarks on Games better but run hotter (so get a good cooling fan & heatsink both pentium / celeron d & intel dou / dual core / core 2 dou and amd x2 have 2 cores (but watch your front side bus and cache the higher the better but the more $ also) then You need a good stable mobo that supports the chip you get (I preffer asus & msi for Gamers and biostar / msi for home users)
