icp sensor, definitly. you can get to it but you have to go from the bottom. remove the trans filler tube, and lower the the trans slightly, then you can remove the turbo heat shield and get to the sensor, you will need a 1 1/16" 12 point crows foot socket for the sensor its self.

93 subaru imprez.when warms up it starts

Sounds like it's getting too much fuel because is still in cold start mode by computer. This is because of a faulty heat sensor. Once the heat sensor tells the computer it's warm, it runs fine, IF the sensor is working. If not, the computer doesn't know any better than to keep it in cold start mode. I hope this makes sense to you.

1996 mercedes c280 dies when put in drive

Engine stalls or RPM fluctuates at idle up and down or dies near idle.

This problem is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and throttle valve but always run a OBD2 fault code as well as the cleaning procedure. Buy a can of throttle valve cleaner (do not use carburetor spray cleaner!) from NAPA or Carquest (made by CRC chemicals) and spray it into the air intake while the engine is running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine will try to stall hold the speed up, shut it down and let it soak for 30 minutes, restart and blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down and disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 Min's to reset the base idle control

My 98 Honda Accord Vtec 4cyl. eng is starting fine, but after start the idle dips a few times and regains for approx. 3min. If I drive without warming up the car will hesitate and the gas pedal will delay...

Seems like the coolant temperature sensor is giving the computer erroneous readings, and it is not adjusting the fuel mixture properly for cold engine operations. You should have the check engine light on, indicating this malfunction. The idle fluctuations are normal. The engine is trying to die, from the improper cold mixture, and the computer (ECM), recognizing low idle speed, is sending it back up. Another possibilty is that the butterfly on the throttle body is not closing completely, to allow richer mixture needed for cold starts.

When I turn the car off, I hear a suction/swoosh sound. Any ideas?

for the most part, this is normal. what your hearing is air being pulled into the engine. its usually not noticable on factory cars, but the sound tends to get alot ouder on cars that have a cold air intake, or a modified airbox. im assuming that the car still runs fine? if there are no fluctuations in the idle speed, and the ca seems to run fine, then its nothing to be worried about. if the car has a hard time idleing or the idle fluctuates alot, then you may have a broken or disconnected vacuum line under your hood.

4 cyl Engine starts and idles ok...give it throttle and it dies

I need to get a clear mental picture of what exactly is happening.

With this said, you stated that the car "runs fine" until warmed up.

Q: When you start the car when cold it idles fine?
Q: If you allow the car to idle until "fully" warmed does the car stall?
Q: As the car begins to warm up, Does the RPM fluctuate abnormally?
Q: Does the car Only stall when you press on the gas pedal or does it stall just sitting and idling in addition to pressing the gas pedal?
Q: If you can drive it while cold does the car stall during acceleration when warm or only at Stop Signs / Lights?
Q: If you wait 20min or so, can you start the car again?
Q: How many miles are on the car?
