LOSS OF ACCELERATION

It can be fuel pressure issue or it's the problem with accelerator pedal or its clogged filters causing there.

There are many other possibilities. I suggest you to go through the list of help links mentioned below, these will help you to confirm where the actual fault lies: -------

SOURCE: My '98 BMWis jerks and backfires after 20km's or so.

Hello

The Engine and Automatic Transmission (not applicable to manual transmissions) in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM and TCM (Power Train Control Module, Transmission Control Module). When a problem like this or other drive-ability related problems occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. Also always check fuel pressure for correct spec for your make and engine type.

NOT ACCELARATING EVEN WITH ACCELARATOR PRESSED

run fault codes and check for accelerator position sensor--- check for limp mode operation

Slow response when accelarating

It may be the MAF sensor they fooled with is defective, disconnect it from the system and rive the car, it should run OK with the sensor disconnected, if it does run better then replace the MAF sensor.

What is the rattling noise i hear when i accelarate in my cadillac deville. 1995

Check your oil. If oil is too low, it makes a rattling noise in acceleration. Also, be careful that it isn't your timing chain. The timing chain, once it's starting to fail, will make that noise as well.

I HAVE A 1995 CHRYSLER CIRRUS AND WHEN IM DRIVING AND COME TO A STOP SIGN AND LET OFF THE BREAK THE CAR IS STILL MOVING WITHOUT ME PRESSING THE ACCELARATOR WHAT DOES THIS MEAN

Hi, with the age of the car & what you're describing, I'd check your accelerator cble for damage/wear, also check the return spring's working properly where the cable attaches to the engine.

Hyundai accent 05, goes to 5000rmp at speed 20km/hr

You need to have to transmission filter changed. Dirty filter and not letting it shift. Can you start the motor and let it run about 10-minutes befroe driving. It could be that the fluid is cold and thick, not wanting to shift????? Try that.
