Need help fixing the volume on my TV?

We recently moved to a new place and we noticed since we moved that the volume is messed up. Usually we watch tv at the 30-40 mark on the volume and now are having to watch it at 60+. Any advice on how I can fix it? Thanks!

Re: Need help fixing the volume on my TV?

You are probably using a cable box that has a lower audio output level. If thats the case have the cable company fix it.

Andy there are usually two inverter/backlight boards (usually on each side of the TV ) (inside the back cover). Most have Ribbon cables attached and lead to the screen. might try those. most of the T-con , inverter boards cost nearly the same.(according to the make and model of TV u have) even at $35 each it is still better that buying new TV .

First - connect DVD player preferably to the same input (unless you are using RF connector) and make sure that same issue does happens while you are watching movies. If it does - main board in your TV have to be replaced. If it does not - it still cable signal problem.

Moving objects extremely blurry in SAMSUNG LCD-football, golf, etc

This is a problem that will pretty much just be there on this TV. I know it has an awesome long as nothing moves. You can try putting it in "Game Mode" in the user menu and that usually takes care of it but you didn't buy the 120/240 Hz tv to watch it in 60Hz. I would say exchange it, and in my opinion buy a good plasma :)

Low volume on some channels

Well, some TV stations do broadcast at different volume levels. This is very noticeable when watching a TV show and the volume seems normal and then when a commercial comes on, the volume is very loud. They do this to get you to pay attention to the commercial. Another problem might be that you are adjusting volume from both your TV and your cable box. What you should do is make sure your cable box is set to "FIXED VOLUME" and then just adjust your TV volume. Fixed volume will have the cable box output only one volume level, letting the TV do the adjustment. Just go through your cable box setting and look in the audio settings. Hope This helps...
