If the nine volt battery is good, then you plug the cable from your speaker amp. into the connector on the bottom rear, it turns the instrument's pre-amp ON, indicated by a blue light. Do not turn the main amp on till both ends of the cable are plugged in......

Not getting a 110 votts to transformer

Measured where? You're getting 110V on one side of the switch but not the other with the switch turned on?? - faulty switch. If you're measuring across two terminals of the switch, with the switch turned on, you should read 0 V. Switch off should read 120 V. Is there a fuse between the switch and the xfmr?

Wah wont always bypass when I let off.

The switch has probably failed or the pad that actuates it. These things take a beating. Verify that the switch is mechanically working, and then check with ohmmeter. The pad triggering the switch gets worn and fails to actuate the switch completely is common on pedals. The internal parts of the switches fail... NOTE: many of these switches have metric mounts and are hard to find exact repalcements.

How to replace the light in the standby switch on a bugera 333 head ?

I don't believe the standby switch has a light, unlike the main power switch.

I can also understand why they don't include one due to electrical considerations. This switch switches hundreds of volts instead of the line power that the main power switch does.

I know the switches look similar, but these are available both as lighted and unlighted which the standby switch is the latter.

Some one broke off my power switch, I still have all the parts but the switch itself is missing the two plastic nipples on either side. Where/ how can I get a replacement/repair? -thanks

It is very hard to repair the internals of the switches and they are not too safe when you do so... best to replace the switch with a new one. Most of the switches are $10 or so max. Better hardware stores often have suitable ones or go to Digikey.com or Mouser.com and search for switch.

Red plastic cover over starter switch is broken. No power

If you can't get the power switch to work that is a good indication that it might be broken and the fuse has blown to protect you and the organ. At this point you have two choices. Get someone who knows what they are doing to have a look at it and replace the broken parts or if you feel comfortable with trying, do it yourself. You will have to unplug it from the wall and carefully take it apart until you can get at the switch. Before you do this though consider that you will at least need a new switch and fuse. The switch doesn't have to be an exact replacement it just has to be electronically equivalent. Make sure you have a place to buy the parts.Keep track of what you do and draw diagrams you can understand. Better yet if you have a digital camera take pictures. Once you have the switch out the info about the switch is usually stamped on the switch itself.Take the switch and fuse to the store and they should be able to sell you what you need. Replace the switch by reversing the steps you took to remove it. Do the fuse last and once the organ is assembled plug it back in and turn the switch on. I f you replaced the switch exactly the way it should be the organ will either work or the fuse will blow again. If the fuse blows you know there is something else wrong. At this point you will need help or if you are going further on your own you will need a schematic or a service manual. They are getting hard to obtain so you will probably be better off having a professional look at it. Please let me know if this helps.

On/off switch not working anymore

Remover the switch and try to find a brand name on the switch. Search Digikey.com, Mouser.com, and allied electronics for replacement.

The distortion on my Boss DF-2 doesn't work. When I hit the switch it just comes on and then off

Sounds like a defective switch or bad solder joints connected to the switch. Boss uses momentary switches which turn on when the switch is pressed and turn back off when pressure is released. This engages a switching system. If the switch is engaging itself again while the button being depressed, it will cause it go off again. And a bad solder joint would do this too if the signal is not being jumped to the switching circuit properly.

Guitar amp channel switch repair

Replace the switch. You gave no make/model number for your amp but if it has a jack for foot pedal operation of clean/dist function then try that. (on most amps) it will switch in spite of a bad front panel switch.
