Question about JVC Televison & Video
If you want to do it with your own, you will need a proper trouble shooting. which need the right device and tools to do the job and make sure you have at least a basic knowledge in electronic repair. the first place to be check will be the power supply section, you need to have voltage checking weather their is a secondary dc voltage from the power supply section going to the horizontal section. to turn on the other circuit and the flyback transformer. you have to know if their is a 135dc voltage at the power supply section, check at the primary capacitor using a digital tester.

There is most likely the main power supply has several shorted parts in it, depending on how old it is, it might be worth at least an estimate. if you have homeowners insurance, you may want to concider reporting this to them. Good Luck
