Question about Maytag Washing Machines
The door on my washer recently started opening at the bottom allowing water to rush out. The door was still locked at the top, but the bottom of the door pushed out allowing the water to get out. When I pushed the off button, the machine continued to fill with additional water making the problem evn worse.
First check that gasket around door for rips tears and warpped condiction..if that not the case this will help...easy now go slow than check unit,,grasp the door and bend SLOWLY..from bottom of door and hinge,,because sometimes we hang wet clothes over the door ,and bend the hinge..the last but neat trick is to put 2 washers behind the door latch lock..between the door latchlock,,and the inner panel..that will push the latch back and make the door itself get tighter against the gasket..dont worry about the extra water that is just a flush down,,,keep me posted onthejob

Tips for a great answer:
Pour 2/3 cup of liquid chlorine bleach into the bleach compartment of the dispenser drawer of your Maytag Neptune front-loading washer.
Run your Maytag Neptune front-loading washer on the "Clean Washer" setting. Press "Start" to start the cycle.
Leave the door open once the cycle is complete to allow the inside of your Maytag Neptune front-loading washer to ventilate and air dry.
Look closely at the gray seal of the Maytag Neptune front-loading washer's door opening. This seal can have a buildup of debris or detergent residue.
Spray the seal with an all-purpose appliance cleaner and scrub away any debris or residue with a cloth or scrubbing pad. Dry with a clean cloth.
Remove the soap dispenser drawer. Press the release lever and lift it out to clean.
Take out the inserts and rinse them and the drawer thoroughly.
Wash with a mild soap and cloth to remove any residue. Dry thoroughly before replacing.
