    1. past 2 weeks picture developed horizontal lines, and eventually looked like i was using rabbit ears to pick up a poor signal.

Pulled out the chassis and found 2 spent capacitors. 1 on FMT board - (4) 1000uf 16v capacitors; replaced all. 1 on DM board - (2) 1000uf 25v capacitors; replaced all. Replaced chassis & plugged in TV. Timer light blinked for 60 seconds then went off. I pushed power button and timer light came on solid green, but no picture came on &.heard no sounds of light engine starting. I checked the voltage on J14 pin 6, and it registered fine I checked the voltage on J9 pin 4, no value was registered. Checked the voltage on J9 pins 1 & 2, and they registered fine. Not sure how to test if f9a09 is "open.

If it comes on or not try the self check, press and hold both menu and input(source) for 5 seconds or longer and release both buttons, power light should blink a two digit error code like one blink, two blinks and pause and repeat.

SOURCE: Replaced lamp and now can't get a picture

Hi Sally Jo, Unit powers on and works properly for a while then shuts off with a red lamp LED (lamp error). Suspect bad lamp part # 915P020010 2. Lamp enable line at J14 pin 6 does not switch to 5 volts after turn on, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Light Engine part # 939P977010 3. At power on the lamp turns on and off three times and then the unit shuts down with a red lamp LED (lamp error). Replace the Light Engine part # 939P977010 4. Check for 12-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 4 on the Engine Driver PCB, if missing check for an open F9A09 on the Power PCB, if it is open replace F9A09 part # 283P127060 and the Light Engine part # 939P977010 5. Lamp enable line at connector J14 pin 6 on the Engine Driver PCB switches to 5 volts after turn on but does not go back to 0-volts (low) after 5 seconds, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Light Engine part # 939P977010 6. Check for 5-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 1 and 2 on the Engine Driver PCB if missing replace the Power PCB part # 934C148001. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: I fixed the blinking light, but still no picture

Here is the correct and official service manual on the unit. Check all of the diagnostics first, then go into the service menu and validate your settings.

Did you let the green light flash for about 70 seconds? It goes thru a self check when plugged in and takes a little time

New member here. I have a 62" DLP Mitsubishi model #WD6252. I've already replaced my lamp AND ballast and continue to have the solid red lamp status indicator. I've made sure the connection from th

Your color wheel is failing or has failed. the red light ONLY means the lamp cannot light or was forced to shut down. it means nothing about the lamp or ballast specifically.

If your color wheel isnt spinning up correctly or you have a stuck fan somewhere, the lamp will be shut down immediately upon startup.

Id check to see if the color wheel is stuck or if its getting stuck.

I turn tv on...green light comes on but i get no picture or audio....then light indicator blinks red

Hello!
Lamp or ballast(if lamp has been replaced) is bad.
Explanation: green comes on: system works, waiting for light to shine into light engine: no light is coming out of lamp, system shuts down, then you see red! how to determine: pull the lamp out of the unit's compartment. Inspect lamp: bloated stem? shuttered? reflector is not shiny? Chuck it!
Lamp looks good or just been replaced: try ballast. Close lamp compartment without lamp itself. Make sure, door is shut, as well. Turn unit on and listen close to lamp compartment: good ballast will make a buzzing noise, then stop. You've got "red'! No buzzing: ballast quit. Needs major repair! Lamp must be good, for sure, to get to the last part of diagnostics. Conclusion: more, than 2000 hours of usage: replace lamp first!
Good luck,
Alex.

Optoma 719, can't get lamp and fan to turn on.

There is a stuffed 10v 3300uf capacitor on the power board. You need to replace it.
Bellow you can check in the picture where the capacitor is located.
0f5b76c.jpg
Notice that in this picture I have already took the bad capacitor out and replaced with two small cords to reach the bottom and test the new capacitor.
To reach this place is not fast, several layers of plastic and metal must be removed, but is not a hard task to take the capacitor out and replace it for another.
It works just great! Now it is back on track with awesome image.

Replaced Lamp to no avail

That problem is caused by two bad 100Uf capacitors on the PWB . you will need the manual to be able to get the chassis out and I dentify the correct board. Go to this link get the reapair manual they will give you free tech support and when they email your manual ask then if you can have Sonny for your free support. He can fix that chassis in his sleep, and he will tell you the exact capacitors that need to be changed and you set will be as good as new. heres the link

How many times does it blink?
I replaced the ballast in my 62HM84 and it fixed it. The problem was TV would not turn On, Red light solid green light blinked 9 times then TV would try to restart. At first I thought it might of been the bulb, so I replaced it, same results. Next I replaced the ballast which is pretty easy, just take pictures before you remove the light engine so you can go back to the picture to verify the connections when reinstalling.
