Re: indesit idl705

This sounds as though it is in "flood mode" and may have a water leak into the base. unplug unit and check for leaks by tipping the dishwasher at a 45degree angle backwards and seeing if any water seeps out from the base. if it does you have a hose/ pump / seal leak.

Indesit IDL 500 Pump noise when switched on not continuous, sounds like it is acting in surges, and the pre-wash indicator light flashes in time with the surges. Is this a fault, what is the solution?

this indicates that there is water in the base of the unit activating the safety float switch... usually a leak..or an overfill due to blocked filter
Power off & remove plug
1st port of call would be to drain the base by pulling forward and tipping back.. make sure you have large towels to hand...
Once drained power up again and put on quick wash...
if cycle completes verify no leak by tipping back again and no water should flow..
if there is a leak then the flashing would resume during cycle... and best get someone in to locate as there are a few possibilities...

Lights 1 and 2 flash together. Come on after 3 minutes or so whatever the programme. No sound of pump emptying machine. Help :O)

1+2 is a drain time out error, possible that there is some gunge or something in the drain pump. Pump blockages are common on these machines

Shortly after turning my indesit idl530 on a fault code appears

the problem you are getting is a f01 fault, this is water in the base part of the antiflood check this if you tip the appliance backwards and water comes from the back at the bottom this is the problem,if you do this till it stops and then leave for approx 24hrs to dry out any water that may have gone on to motor, then check by switching on to start a program,if appears to work ok but then goes back to the same fault(draining all the time and light flashing)you will have to remove base and check for leaks.

Try turning off the breaker to it for a few min… and then turn it back on that might reset it.

IDL705 dishwasher showing error code

Indesit IDL700 first two green lights flashing and cycle stops with dirty water left in the machine. CAUSE - blocked or jammed drain pump. SOLUTION - First remove all the filters inside the machine, syphon or sponge up all the water in the sump and check for any obstruction over the fine grill at the very bottom. (we had a pistachio shell covering the hole!). If this doesn't cue it you will need to gain access to the pump. First, turn off the power. Gently lift the machine onto it's side (be ready for some water to spill out!). Remove the bottom plate (6 screws) and disconnect the sump float switch. Remove the single screw retaining the pump to the bottom of the machine and rotate to remove. You should be able to see the rotor blades. With your finger check to see if the pump rotates freely. To dismantle the pump, remove the 3 screws and separate the two halves. Our pump was jammed with an apple stalk!. Reassemble and connect any cables. Apparently this is a known problem with these machines and can be prevented by assembling the filter system correctly and pre-rinsing plates etc. before placing in the dishwasher.

Indesit DV620 Dishwasher

You have a internal leak in the dishwasher...there is a safety float system in the base (below where you put the dishes in!) of the unit, which in the event of water in the base will stop the cycle and activate the drain pump continiously.... You will have to open the unit and find the leak. Don't know these models, but usually you have to remove side panels and front panel, drain water from the base and re-start....then check with flashlight where the leak is. Oshie
