No FM stations on Teac receiver

I have an old Teac receiver, AG-V4200, that I can pull in AM stations but no FM staions? Is the receiver broken or does it need a special antenna?

    Hi Blueextc,

Thanks for giving it a try - in the full-length post I mentioned that I tried two different FM booster antennae to no avail. What did happen was that for only a split second, I got FM reception, then it disappeared. Do you think there is a short in the antenna connection, and do you think there is an at-home or cost-efficient fix?

You need a FM antenna.
Look on the rear of the unit.
It will tell you where it needs to be hooked up.

What channel to u turn the radio on?

Find an FM station that has only static between 96 and 106. Once on a station, take a very small screwdriver and turn the tiny screw in the back (looks like brass) until you hear a signal.

What FM frequency does the radio need to be on to use a wireless Disney Mickey mouse microphone?

Each microphone has a different FM Freq. If you can not find a Freq there is a very small hole in the mic near the Mic switch. You will need a jewlers screwdriver to make a freq. adjustment. Hold down the applause button while very close to your FM radio. Use manual tuning on your FM radio until you hear applause. If there is a local station playing on the Freq you can insert the jewelers screwdriver into the small hole and change the FM Freq for the Mic. You only need to make "fractional adjustments" to change the Freq. setting. Once you make a mic freq. adjustment change the radio freq SLIGHTLY up and down until you hear the applause.

This should get anyone going that is having difficulty with this microphone.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

What is the FM radio frequency to use the Hannah Montana Wireless Microphone?

FM 99.7 works best.... However if you have a local FM station using that freq your out of luck UNLESS your handy with a Jewelers screwdriver. Calling tech support will get you a "sorry" but there is nothing we can do. So if you are one of the unlucky ones with a Local 99.7 FM station here is what you can do.

1) Find a dead spot on the FM radio band either at the very low end or high end of the range. You should hear just fuzz (white noise) on your radio. However, on many newer FM tuners if there is no station broadcast there is nothing but silence.
2) Put batteries in the microphone.
3) Get a really really tiny flat head (Jewelers)screwdriver just like the kind in those eye glass kits they sell at the grocery store.
4) Sit right in front of the radio
5) Insert the screwdriver into the tiny hole in the microphone and tune the microphone until the radio goes quiet (no fuzz sound). Or.... you can keep pressing S to hear a beat and the beat is acutally heard through the speakers.

The hole is located just to the left of the screw that you undid to get at the battery compartment, but it's off center. Inside this hole is a small tuning screw. Slowly, slowly, SLOWLY turn the screw driver until you here a change or interruption in the fuzz sound on the radio speakers. This will indicate you found a compatible frequency. Then even slower - tune back to that "notch" until you hear nothing but silence on the radio. Test it by pressing the applause button "A" or by pressing the mic "M" button and talking.

There are multiple places on the FM dial that will "work" as you tune the little screw but you should have already manually selected where (the FM freq) you want to use your mic.

Once it's working it ain't perfect. I doubt you'd do a serious performance on it, but the kids love it.
The mic quality is not top notch for sure.

Fine tune as necessary....

I have a daisy model #111 that does not fire

It sounds like the sear pin spring has broken. If it's as old as mine is (very near 40 years old), it would be no wonder! You'll have to carefully open the mechanism and check it. Springs are made that will perfectly replace a broken one; other parts for this particular model are extremely scarce. Good luck with the repairs.

Hannah montana fm microphone

you need to have it on and tap it while you turn the tuning knob on the radio until you come accros the station that will pick it up, this may take a while and most times it's on both the AM and FM bands so try both.

The Disney Hanna Montana FM Microphone

The radio needs to be set to a specific station (its listed on the packaging) What the microphone essentially does is override the broadcast on that frequency and allows you to hear yourself. Its the same principal as the '80's classic "Mr. Microphone".
