If it smells electrical then it is the motor and just because you replaced it months a go that dont meen anything i have seen them come off the shelf and be bad not saying ddty that this is your issue but it sounds like it a bad solinoid chances are very slim I would look towards the motor to find out when machine quits lean machine back on the wall so it dont fall on you and put your hand on the motor if it is hot then it is over heating and needs to be changedplease let me know what you guys find and if i can help you in any way

The burning smell is from your coupling and when this breaks the rubber spins across the plastic face of the opposite coupling. Your washer will not wash or spin until this is replaced. fortunately these are cheap and easy to replace. Refer to my step by step instructions to replace yours.

Sounds like the clutch is slipping but sometime catching. Or maybe the transmission is almost gone. Is there a burning smell? If so, probably clutch.

Wont spin

Could be the clutch. Is there a burning smell from the tub area? The clutch is directly under the tub. It's a royal pain to get out.

Washer won't start spin cycle

sounds like a lid assy issue, can you hear a "clicking" just before the lid is closed, try opening nad closing a few times listening for a distinct "click" if not the machine doesnt think the door is closed and for safety reasons wont spin and drain.
