Light won't light in fridge, circuit is buzzing

Buzzing sound and no light in fridge, changed bulb, still same issue. Found the buzzing sound is coming form the circuit panel under/behind fridge.

Pulled the switch, but couldn't cross the wires...without cutting (Another issue I probably wouldn't be able to solve)

Could not find info for the model listed could it be PFS22SBASS...any way the most common reason for your issue is the main motherboard part #WR55X10942
prices vary $180 - $200. The circuit that operates the compressor is most likely at fault. Most boards are located at rear of unit lower right, it controls all refer functions. Not hard to instal,l but due to the cost most electrical parts bought are not returnable.

Try shutting down your unit, unplug it from the wall and wait a few minutes - plus it back in and turn on see if it solves the problem otherwise you may have a faulty board.

Fridge lights are buzzing and flickering

You need to replace the electrical control board. It's an easy fix. About $75 for the part. No electrical work necessary. Just unclipping and re-clipping wires into their ports. You do not need a repairman to do this! (I'm a 33 yr. old female, so please forgive my lack of technical terms in the post) I ordered one from AppliancePartsPros.com. It came in two days.

1. Pull out and UNPLUG the fridge.
2. Take out the screws that hold the bottom back panel on
(The electrical contol panel is located inside a white box attached to the lower left corner. )
3. Remove the screws that hold the box in place
5. Remove the bunch of wires out of the clip on the side of the box and pull the box out. Open it by releasing the clips on either side.
6. Disconnect the three sections of wires that plug into the board
7. Remove old board out of the housing
8. Insert new board,
9. Reverse above steps to complete installation.

Note: What triggers the buzzing sound is the door being opened. If you want to stop the sound and prevent the electrical current from going to the fried board until your new one comes, put a piece of tape tightly over the switch that pops out when the door is opened (located inside the unit near the door hinge).

Have you got a screw loose. One which holds the door light switch. is it the switch which buzzes?. I had a fridge which didn't get cold. When I scrapped it I found that the retaining ring for the switch was not tight enough and r4ealised that the light had been on when the door was closed.
