Question about Computers & Internet
I have 1 year aged about the DELL INSPIRON n series Laptop in Muscat Oman.Recently noticed the few buttons of Key board are not functioning. Please give your expert remedial advise.
It sounds like you have to change the key board, its either a software or hardware problem and if you re-installed windows and you have the same problem then the keyboard has to be changed.

SOURCE: Mouse pad buttons not working
If the left mouse button is not working, then it is most likely the microswitch in the button has failed. To fix, you will need to replace the palmrest assembly

Sounds like your number lock is on. Find the key with blue lettering that says 'Num Lk' (or something very similar). Press Fn and that key, and your number lock will be turned off and your keys will go back to normal.
Hope this helps.

what you can try to do is to test an external monitor. If it works fine, try to check for any stuck key on the keyboard and any foreign objects. If all is well, you can request a replacement keyboard from dell if your system is still within warranty.
