Xbox 360: THE LITTLE ENGINE THAT COULDN'T.
Seriously, one in three dies under warranty. Call microsoft and complain, they will be good to you. They might even let you keep your old hard drive.

3 red light flashes. left top. left bottom and right bottom. Problem occurs when power is turned on. Read manual and contacted you.

You've got the three red rings.
They light up when there is a general hardware failure in your Xbox.
If your xbox is under 3 years old, contact Microsoft and they'll service it.
If it's over 3 years old, wrap it in a towel, turn it on and let it run.
This is a simple, yet effective temporary fix.

Turned off during a game and wont turn back on

Unplug the power cord from the unit and the wall. Allow for a minute to pass and then plug back in to the wall and console. Once you do this see if the unit turns on or not. If it does turn on with power but you get a red ring, report the ring type (how many red lights and which red lights starting from top left when system is standing.

Xbox360 help

Make sure that its in a well ventilated area so it can run coolly.. If you end up getting E74, or the 3 red rings you will need to call

1-800-4my--xbox

Overheating could be a sign of future breaking..

just be sure its in a well ventilated area as I said

Red flashing lights

If you have 4 lights, check your A/V cord. 3 lights is the Red Ring of Death. Call Microsoft. They have an extended 3 year warranty for this problem. hope this helps AJ

I have 2 rings around the left top and bottom

It supposed to mean its over heating, but if its just turned on and its doing it its probably slowly progressing to The R.O.D or a lights out and it is the R.O.D
Instead of tampering with it and voiding warranty call
1-800-4MY-XBOX
and Get them to help you if you bought it within last 3 years you will get a free replacement once you send it in and a free month of xbox live

2 red lights w/green light

The problem is the black screws on the bottom of the frame that screw into the X-Clamps. Most of the time, you usually don't have to even put the black screws back in. However their can be exscruciating headache inducing problems with fine tuning the black screws. If you do end up needing to put the black screws back in, I suggest to start with one @ a time, starting with the bottom right screw. ( thats with the 360 standing vertical with the dvd drive faced toward U.) The tightness can range from almost as tight as you can possibly get to soooo!!!!!! loose u can't possibly imagine how its doing anything at all. The best way to do this is, with the 360 hooked up, (and the case left off) take the small white plastic frame off that covers the power button, start with the screw loosened and then proceed to turn slightly like an 1/8th of a turn, then power on and then turn off if 2 red or 3 red ring proceeds and then repeat. You shouldn't have to put all the black screws back in, mine only has bottom right bottom left and top left, and are incredibly loose. My friend however has bottom right only and is tightened only about 1/2 way.

Xbox 360

I would recommend sending this back to microsoft if you can. If you can't for some reason. Ebay has many sellers who will fix 3 lights of death for much cheaper that MS will.
