Hi

Take it back to the store its still under warranty, explain your issue and ask them to restore it.

Sounds like a software clinch try rebooting it and see what happens

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: configuring updates takes forever

The updating time depends upon the size of the update files and these can be very large, also your Internet connection speed. The download site may provide the download progress ie remaining download time, the amount of data left to download and maybe the download speed.

I just bought a new HP laptop four days ago. I restarted it because it was running slow and when it turned back on it started configuring updates. It reads: "Configuring Windows updates 12% complete...

Step 1. Phone Microsoft see if they can fix the problem over the phone, if not...
Step 2. Take it back to the place of purchase, to get it replace with a new HP, as most shops have a 30 day D.O.A. (dead on arrival) policy.

I just bought a hp pavilion dv7-6c95dx and noticed the battery isn't charging

If the laptop is brand new, return it to HP form warranttee repair. If you do otherwise your warranttee will be void.

If the Laptop is not brand new, remove the battery and with the AC adapter connect power the laptop. If the laptop come on you have to replace the battery.
However, if the laptop did not come on with the AC adapter connected, the board of the laptop may be fault and you may have to replace the laptop.

Unfortunately no! the only suggestion I can offer is check the HP site to see if they offer an update driver for windows 7, if not I'am afraid you are out of luck.

No manufacturing process is flawless. These things happen. Return to staples for an exchange. Most managers will exchange ink even after the 14 days. If they dont, then buy new ones and recycle the nonworking ones for $3 on your rewards statement. I have seen people come back the same day after they bought a brand new HP ink cartrige beucase it does not work. Its not that they had the wrong cartridge, its just that it was a bad one.

No sound

You can try bringing the computer to an earlier point by using a restore point. Make sure that you dont have your audio muted. Go into your device manager and go to sounds and audio devices (xp; its different for vista). If everything is 'drayed out'... go into start/run/ [then type] msconfig Under the tab 'services' look for something that says sound or audio on the far left column. On the far right column make sure it says 'running' if it says 'stoped' thats your problem. If you cant find anything, go to hp.com and download updated drivers.
