Question about HP Computers & Internet
Bought brand new from staples. He set it up in the store. Got home and it wanted to update and stalled at 12% and I can't get it to do a darn thing. I got no disc's with it so I don't know what to do. It's got windows 8
Take it back to the store its still under warranty, explain your issue and ask them to restore it.
Sounds like a software clinch try rebooting it and see what happens

The updating time depends upon the size of the update files and these can be very large, also your Internet connection speed. The download site may provide the download progress ie remaining download time, the amount of data left to download and maybe the download speed.
