When ever I plug the cord into the mp3 player and the screen comes up it says to do nothing, to sync or to check files. It will always sync even if it was synceed earlier I can delete the music from the libary but not from the MP3 player itself. You can remove content on the Sansa itself by highlighting the song you want to delete, then down click and select "Delete" while the song is highlighted.

Also, there is a setting within the software on the PC that you can change to prevent the Sansa from automaticaly syncing if you don't want it to do that.

There is probably an easier way to do this, but if you are listening to the song, click the bottom menu button, and then go to delete song

Hope this helped

Sansa e260 has no space left to write the database info. Vista and also Windows Media Player don't ''see'' any files. I can listen to all the music on the MP3 but I want to delete some and add others.

Same problem delete a couple of songs up to 6 mg or 10 whatever then allow to refresh then download your songs back in the music file. the sansa needs some memory to know it has the sdcard in it...

Go to my computer scroll to sansa and open the media folder and open each sub folder and delete manually then delete the folders themselfs then format a couple of times hope this works
Start over put new songs on it

Sansa e260

For everyone having e260 problems here is the answer. First make sure that you have your usb mode on msc before plugging in to the computer. Then go to folder options and select show hidden folders. You now have access to the music folders and can delete music. You can create a new folder or use the music folder for your music. To prevent future problems go to properties on the hidden folders and unhide them.
