Remove rear panel of washer, slip the belt off, then try the drum to see if it turns, if it does, then the motor is the problem, if it does not, then the main bearings have siezed, or there is something fast between the inner and outer drum..
If it was noisy on spin prior to this happening, then it is more than likely the main bearings that have siezed.

Usually answered in minutes!
Drum was very noisey on spin cycle ,then big screach and drum stopped spinning, I removed lid to check and found belt was off drum,tried turning by hand but siezed solid.
