Mine went out too and only the green light would come on. took it to be repaired and it was the driver board and cost 575.00 to repair. the tv was 2 yrs old and happened on christmas day, go figure. email@example.com

If green light flashes more than 8 times, it could be as simple as repairing or replacing the power supply. Unplug the TV ,remove the back. Look for bulged or leaking capacitors on the power supply. Do it yourselfer? only if you have soldering skills, or purchase replacement board. remember, used boards are just as old as your failed board, buy new or rebuilt, Good Luck
Sounds like an inverter problem. On some of these sets, the inverter and the power supply are on the same board. These boards tend to be quite pricey, $100 + range. I've worked on your particular model with the same problem, and it was a bad inverter/power supply board. I would recommend you get a diagnosis to be sure.
