I got Sony Xplod XM-ZR704 700W 4/3/2-Channel Car Stereo Amplifier and 12" sub. it play good for continuous 2 hours but after that starts tripping and goes on off. i checked all wires and connections.

Amp is probably over heating. Make sure the ohm load of speaker is good for that amp. This amp is not really built to handle a bridged 2 ohm load. Make sure ground wire is clean and tight to the body chassis.

Hey i have a sony amp (600 watt xm-zr604) with 2 10"sub(sony xplod).when i raise the volume hight enough the amp go off(red light came on) what can i try

sounds as though (at high volumes) the amp thinks it has a short circuit. This may be caused by the way you have them connected.
Speakers have a resistance and amps needs a certain amount of resistance to function right (too little resistance = short circuit)
The way it works out for the speakers is, if the two are connected to one amp output channel, the amp will see half of the resistance of a single sub. (4 Ohms/sub amp sees 2 Ohms)
If the amp instructions say that it's 4 Ohms/channel then you need to use 1 channel for each sub.
Hope this has been some help.

Is the sony xplod cdx-gt71w able to support a subwoofer without another amp

Sure is.

The sony is bridgable as follows:

  • 100W x 4 @ 4 Ohm
  • 100W x 2 + 250W x 1 @ at 4 Ohm

  • This will allow 2 channels to run 100 watts each @ 4ohms with an additional single channel with 250 watts @ 4 ohms.

The single sub channel is created by bridging channels 3 & 4

I Have a Sony Xplod 800 watt amp and 2 12 inch Sony Xplod subs

You should definately bridge them. Firstly, lay the 2 speakers face down next to each other. Note the connections +- +-. The first + will go to the amplifier. The next terminal(-) will be connected to the next speaker(+). Take the last(-) and connect to amplifier. Please note that your amplifier has a bridge section which is normally the first + and the last- on the two channels. Connect your woofers on the bridge.

How should i arrange the wiring on my xm-zr1852 xplod amplifier to get the best performance out of my 12'' audiobahn subwoofers?

it depends on the impedance of the subs-if your subs are dual 4 ohm coils then you can parallel the coils which will give you 2 ohms per sub- you could get max performance from your amp by just wiring the 2 ohm speaker load to each channel of the amp which will hit them with about 200 watts rms each. another way to do it is to wire the coils in series which will make each sub an 8 ohm load and then parallel them together and that will show a 4 ohm load -which you can use to run the amp safely in bridged mode. This will give you exactly the same amount of power to your subs as in 2 ohm stereo will. so with your amp being 2 ohm stable in stereo or 4 ohm stable in bridged mode- those are the numbers you want to hit for maximum"safe" operation

    AMP FOR MY SONY SUBBS

Get an amplifier that is rated just under the power ratings of the subs, that way you will not blow the subs by pumping in too much power to them. An example is, if you have 2 subs that are 500 watts each and you are going to connect them in stereo mode, you need an amp that is no more than about 400 to 450 watts per channel. This will push them very hard, but will not blow them by overdriving them. If you are going to connect 2 subs at 500 watts each in a bridged mode (in parallel across both channels) then you need an amplifier that is about 800 to 900 watts total power for both channels. This is basically the same power ratings for an amp, but some amps are mono (just one channel) and will have just a total power rating, while other amps are 2 or 4 channel amplifiers and have a rating for each channel.

I hope this helps in your decision making, if you need more help let me know. I have been repairing car audio equipment for almost 20 years and have seen just about everything.

    Sony xplod 500w 4/3 channel

If the speaker is a 4 ohm DVC (two 4 ohm coils), you can't wire it to get a single 4 ohm load. Try connecting one coil to each of the two rear channels. It may not be as loud but the amp should operate without going into protection.

If the two 4 ohm coils are in parallel, the amp is driving a 2 ohm mono load. That's probably why it's shutting down.

    Xplod amp

You have 3 power connection, +12v goes directly to your vechile's battery (make sure this is fused) REM connects to your head unit which tells the amp when to turn on and off (usually very thin wire, comnpared to the gnd and +12) Te gnd you already know where it goes. Then connect your sub to + and - speaker out put. If you run this bridged it will increase your output, must be 2 channel to bridge to 1 channel or a 4 channel bridged to 2 channels. Hope this helps.
