I think that the delayed use is engaged.  Wait an hour, and it will probably start up on its own.

Becuse of my toddlers love of pushing buttons... was getting 1H also. I was able to push & hold down the START button to reset. Then I hit the "delay hours" button several times until it cleared back to original wash time.
Hope that helps.

After reading online about how the 1h, which was displaying on our GE Profile dishwasher also, is the delayed start counter, and after it failed to reset when I pushed the reset button several times and tried to lock and unlock the controls to see if that would let me deselect the 1h, and finding that the control panel would let me increase the time of delay up to 9 hours, I found the manual online, which mentioned turning the power/circuit off for 30 seconds. So I went downstairs and threw the circuit breaker, came back upstairs to see that that particular circuit did, indeed, turn the dishwasher power off (it did), then went back down and flipped the circuit back on, and when I came back upstairs, the dishwasher was normal again. I was able to start a load as usual, and it's running now and appears to be working. I had read another solution somewhere that said if the unit didn't reset when you pushed the reset button, you'd need a new circuit panel for the dishwasher. Maybe ours still needs one, but the washer is running right now. Sometimes, rebooting things helps...

A GE dishwasher GDT580 that's displaying code 1H or IH and will not start

that's not an error code. it's a 1H, as in one hour, the delayed start function. hold the delay start button down to override, then reset it back to where you want it.

I have a GE Profile Dishwasher Model #PDW8200N00WW with a white front panel, is possible to get a stainless panel

yes, ApplianceArt.com makes custom panels. try them out, I think they are $70-$100. They also have a faux stainless that is cheaper and other sorts of designs and colors.

Is this GE Profile dishwasher recalled?

No recalls on any GE Profile model dishwashers. (there may have been service bulletins, but no recalls) Also, you missed the first two letters of the serial number.
You can go to this web site http://www.geappliances.com/products/recall/ to find info on any GE recall.

My ge profile dishwasher oveheated.

There was a recall on some GE dishwashers, but yours was purchased a bit before those affected. Just to be sure, go to http://www.geappliances.com/products/recall/dw07/ and input your full model and serial number (including the last letter of the serial number). Of the models affected by the recall, I've personally seen (and have photos of) one that burned, plus one that was close to it. Recalled ones can be updated for free, or if you decide to replace, qualify for a rebate toward a new GE dishwasher. (the recalled ones had problems with the wiring inside the door) If your model is not one affected by the recall, I would contact GE customer relations via their answer center phone (800-626-2005) to report this potential safety issue.

Loose door handle on ge profile dishwasher

Take the inside panel off.  The 2 screws near the latch only need to be loosened.  Once the handle is off, you will find an allen bolt inside the shaft of the handle support.  Tighten and you are done.

Replacement Door Panel for GE Profile Dishwasher

Are you trying to replace the microwave door or the GE dishwasher. Either way, www.applianceart.com (under the stainless steel section) has this roll of stainless material that you apply to your appliances. I saw it on the "Today Show." Its basically faux stainless. We put it on our refrigerator and it looks and even feels like real stainless steel. Its really cool. I think its called stainless foil or something like that. Also if you're looking for a stainless panel for your dishwasher they sell actual stianless panels there too.
