I cant install my router. The internet, power, WLAN, and DMZ lights are all on, but none of the Ethernet port lights are on, but when I try to complete the install I get the following error message: Unable...

If the ethernet light is not coming that means your router is not detecting your computer. Try to plug the computer on any other port.

To check if your ethernet ports are fine you can perform a loop back test. You can take a cable which is not connected to anything. Than put one end of the cable to one ethernet port and put other end of that same cable to any other ethernet port. If the light on the ethernet ports led up means your ports are fine and u need to reinsatll the drivers of the ethernet card on your computer. Else your routers ethernet port are not functioning. If that is the case you can try to reset the router.

Let me know your finding.

**If this works please rate else let me know in case of further help.**

If you connect the computer directly to the modem, does it work?
If that works then the modem is working.
Now connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
You will need to open the set up page of the router to check the settings of the router.
You can set up the router without the CD also.
It is very easy.

Linksys WRT160N will not finish installing. On the 4th step it says your ethernet cable does not appear to be connected properly. Error 321. I don't really think its the ethernet cables because i tried 2...

error 321 or 322shows that the cable is not connected to the router and the computer.
That is actually a bug in the CD. Even if the cable is connected it shows that it is not connected.
You can set up the router manually, without the CD.

Ethernet adapter error during install

Your ethernet adapter might be disabled. Go to Control Panel > Network Connections and look for Local Area Connection. Right-click it and choose Enable. Or go to Device Manager and Enable it there. If that didn't help, try to use a different Ethernet cable.

Error 321 'ethernet not connected' on LINKSYS WRT54GS

Try doing the set up manually , by accessing the web Gui of router .
***FOLLOW THIS********
The GS comes set to 192.168.1.1 as its factory default and with its built-in DHCP server enabled. So all you'll need to do is plug in a client that's set to obtain its IP address information automatically, maybe do a DHCP release / renew (or reboot your client computer), and enter the default password into the login box that pops up. If all goes well, you'll get the main Setup screen.
The Internet Configuration Type selector automatically refreshes the browser screen to present settings appropriate to the choices of Automatic Configuration - DHCP, Static IP, PPPoE, PPTP and Heartbeat Signal (for Australian users) Internet connection types.
MAC address cloning gets its own page in the Setup section, as does setting up either dynamic DNS service from dynDNS.org or TZO, setting up static routes or disabling NAT features and converting the GS to a non-NAT router.
The interface is generally quick, with quick mini-reboots needed to get the changes you make on each page to take. Multiple admin logins are allowed, with no warning given when two or more admins log on. Once you're logged in, there's no idle timeout, and you just need to remember to quit your browser when you're done, because there's no logout button.
Enabling Remote Management for the first time still pops up a message telling you to change the router's default password and you can now enable secure (HTTPS) admin access. You can also change the default remote admin port from 8080, but can't restrict access by IP address or domain. Also of note is that you can't reboot the GS from the Admin interface.

Let me know if you require any more assistance.
