Question about Craftsman Saws
I have a 10 inch craftsmans table saw, model 137.212.920, with laser trac and the laser seems to be intermittent. I've replaced the batteries and tried to make sure the batteries get good contact, but still nothing. Will not turn on at all now, but sometimes does turn on. The eye is not covered with dust. Should I take it apart and clean some contacts or something? It never did seem reliable.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: Table saw won't turn on.
that reset is breaker and I would think that it should click when reset. I looked at a breakdown and the part number for the breaker is OLSL list 2.16 and they are in stock at Searspartsdirect.com If you have a volt ohms meter I would check the electrical starting at plug end of cord thru the breaker. Make sure you unplug tool before attempting. I would also take a look at the brushes for excessive wear and sawdust buildup. Let me know if I can help more

you need to grab the blade with something.maybe some pliers(if you are not going to refurbish blade) and loosen the nut in the center of the blade. i think it is a left hand thread(cw to loosen) because of the rotation of the blade. if the nut is on the left when looking from the front it is probably left handed. make sure it's unplugged and wear leather gloves so you don't get cut. install in reverse...

You can try Sears but they can be a bit pricey. I use to send out motors for a factory I worked in to a rebuilder who would even do new windings. Check in your area for a rebuilder, As for the replacement being a Sears unit they may have a similar motor in stock. Good luck.

Sears no longer sells repair parts for this motor, only the whole motor as a replacement part, and it is $140.00, but you can buy replacement bearings from drillspot.com the bearing needed is an Enduro 6200 zz c3
