How do I level the dryer

I took screws out of the back of dryer thinking that I could open the back panel. I found that the problem was simply that the belt was off.

Screws in dryer have wallowed out and need to be replaced

Go to hardware and get at most 1 size (3/16 up to 1/4) larger screw and a square washer and a lock tooth washer on the back side of the dryer and then re-tighten the new screws. Also, while you are at it, adjust the legs on all four sides to level the dryer, they simply screw in or out as needed. If you don't have a level get a plastic coke bottle and fill i/3 full. Put a board of yard stick on the machine from side to side, lay the bottle on it and adjust unitl the water is level, then do the same front to back..

How i get my maytag model #mgdb400vq0 front panel removEd?

just wanted to add that i found the service manual underneath the control console. Simply removing the three screws in the back of the control console opened it up, and there was the service manual, which had very good details on how to take apart the dryer.

I need to replace a sensor kit on a whirlpool dryer model len2000pwo. should i go in from the back of the dryer or front/top!!! The part was in the dryer drum when i found it so im not sure the best...

Disconnect the power source to your dryer before you begin to open its cabinet. Either unplug the unit from the wall outlet, remove the appropriate fuse from the fuse box, or flip the appropriate breaker in the circuit breaker panel.

Opening the cabinet for newer Whirlpool brand models starts at the control panel. Begin by removing the end caps found at either end of the console. Lift them from the back, and then pull them towards you. There will be two screws holding the console in place. Remove the screws, and then slide the console towards you and flip it up. You will find an additional three screws at the back of the cabinet top. Remove these and slide the cabinet top towards you and lift it off the unit.

Proceed by removing the kick-plate. There are two spring catches that need to be disengaged before you can remove the kick-plate. Each spring catch is found about four inches in from each side. Use a putty knife or some other thin and flat object to wedge in between the front panel and the kick-plate. Push down on the clips with the putty knife to disengage.

Open the dryer door and remove the screws that are holding the hinges to the door. Tilt the door up and pull on it gently to remove it. Continue the dismantling process by removing all the screws you find that are holding the front panel to the unit. There will be door switch screws, ground wire screws, and other screws holding the front panel to the bulkhead.

Reassembling the entire unit is basically the disassemble process in reverse. Replace the front panel of your dryer. Replace the dryer door, and then replace the kick-plate. Reattach the cabinet top and then push the control panel back in place and reattach the two end caps.

How do i access the back of a Model #MDE8600AYW - MAYTAG Dryer. i think i need to replace the drum rollers but dont think i can from the front panel.

yes it can be accessed from the front panel as it is located on the back right inside of the dryer.
1) unplug dryer
2) open door remove screws
3) with a flat tip screw driver pry gently up on the top corners it will pop
4) move front panel forward and disconnect door switch
5) sit panel aside
6) lift top lid of dryer 90 degrees it has clip/hinged on back
7) look to the right back of dryer, it looks like a spring in a metal box disconnect and replace.
Hope this helps Tim
