SOURCE: converting Rinnai REH-25-N to LP

Typically, an unvented heater or gas log cannot be converted, mostly for safety reasons and it is usually cost prohibitive. Some newer heaters come with both Natural Gas and Propane components and have to be set up one way or the either.
It would be better to sell your old heater and get one with the proper gas type.

SOURCE: can i use propane? i have a rinnai tropic

Yes, you can use propane, but you need to get a different sized orifice for the burner alowing, I believe, less gas coming in. , maybe from rinnai, maybe from a heating ventilattion and air conditioning specailist, maybe from your propane dealer. My propane dealer says that I am suuppose to contact them to come out every time I hook something up to the existing line to make sure things are kosher.

SOURCE: need thermocouple for bantam rinnai

Its an ODS thermocouple. Should be fairly available. Try your local hardware store or better yet- look up a local propane company in your phone book. They'll have one. theya re the same on all the newer gas heaters.

We have a Rinnai REH-15F-2A natural gas heater (approx 15 yrs old). it has just started going out, it doesn't leak gas. is this something repairable or beyond repair? thanks tameka

Tameka, what you described sounds like the Thermocouple or Thermopile is failing. If your heater is a Flue-less heater, the Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS) which is part of the Pilot assembly, may simply need cleaning. Any of the causes I listed are repairable and would require a service technician to do it.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know.

Can model no. REH-20-P be changed to natural gas?

Since it's a Rinnai Vent-Free LP Gas Heater .. No, it can not be converted to Natural Gas. No Vent-free Gas Heating Appliance can be converted from one gas type to another. It's not just Rinnai.

Need pilot light assembly for Rinnai gas heater model #REH-25-P

Unfortunately, Rinnai only sells repair parts through their authorized dealers. Contact the dealer you purchased it from. If you are not the original owner of the home/heater, you can go to Rinnai's website and search for a dealer near you. http://www.rinnai.us/direct-vent-wall-furnaces/
