My hoover shampooerworks good wih one problem. It doesnt throw waer when i press the sprayer

Will the pump spray work without the vacuum being on? If so Listen for the pump spray motor. If you can hear it whining then you may have something plugged like a hose or the hole at the end of the hose, also make sure the filter in the water reservoir is not plugged. Maybe the Impeller is bad in the pump motor.
If you don't hear the pump motor then you may have a bad motor or the button you push/pull could be bad or the wiring harness may be bad. Good luck

Doesn't spray

Hi There,
If your shampooer not very old more likely you have not corrosion issues. To make sure the pluming is clear, flush the pipes and the nozzles. To access these part of the machine you have to open the bottom cover (remove watertank and screws).
In the spray system some components are involved: solenoids, trigger switch, rubber piping, heater block and the pump as the heart.
If you can you should check the pump running or not. The pump is a small 12 Volt motor (gets power if the vacuum motor (120 Volt!) is running, connected in series through a
bridge rectifier). If you can, measure voltage on the pump connections (be aware of line voltage). If no voltage detected, it could be the rectifier or it may has a blown fuse, which is hidden in the cable bundle (120 V/3.15 A).
You should follow the wires from the pump, the fuse is insulated with a pice of heatshrink. Open up and measure continuity. If the fuse is broken, try with 12 V (car battery or power supply?) the pump only. If it's running smoodly, replace the fuse (could be tired for some reason and broke). After the pump is running it should spray trough the nozzles. Hopefully this would help and get going your broken Bissell.
Good Luck!

I have a rug doctor blue machine. It will not spray anymore. Great suction. It is connected properly. Any suggestions?

Only two things can be wrong here, either the solution hose is plugged, kinked or undone from it's source, or the pump motor is not working. I'd try the hose first, if you can, take it off at the pump and then turn the machine on. If you get solution pumping out of the unit, then it's not the little pump motor and your problem is in the hose.

I have a bissel pro heat 2x and it wont spray

I love these and have 2 of them! The warrantees are usually good and it is your pump if both the hand held and carpet positions won't spray water. Both the soap tank and water resevoir need to have at the very least water in both for the unit to work. Yes... You can use just hot water for light cleaning in both. The pump controls both the spraying water and suction. Last, if one or the other won't spray, the unit can have residue blockage. The passages are narrow, check to see if they are clean. Last test. Turn it on, release the handle. At the base of the neck there will be an oval shaped opening. With the handle on the floor as if filling the unit with water...put either your hand or a paper plate over the hole to see if there is suction. If the pump is good, you will feel a lot of suction against your hand or the flat surface of the plate.

I does sound like a controller issue. Try testing the charging output (be careful, who knows what the voltage may be coming out) I would say it is the battery but the yellow light thing has me thinking you are right. That thing has been sitting there maintaining the battery for 17 years, it is probably tired. The other bad news is if your battery has been sitting at that low volta.ge it may have a greatly reduced capacity now. Hope this helps some. .

My eureka atlantis 2590 deep steam extractor will not spray

is the spray pump making a noise? if so, clean spray jets with a lime/calcium remover like "clr."
If the pump isn't making noise, try the rest fuse button.
If that's not it, your pump motor or solenoid is toast.

Bissell Proheat only sprays for a few seconds.

When was the last time you changed the flat belt? Even if it isn't broken it could be so stretched out that when the brush hits the floor it slows or stops the pump from spraying. If its a new belt then and your sure there arent any clog's that usually means the pump is bad. Also if youve ever used anything other than bissell shampoo in the machine it could have ruined the pump as well.

I think the pump needs to be replaced in my Bissell little green machine. Some water/solution is being pushed through but not enough to spray only drip, if I hold the machine up high while using it (ie on...

I got my Little Green ProHeat when the product was first unveiled several years ago. Shortly thereafter, the nozzle itself developed a clog in the spray jet. Remove the nozzle from the end of the hose, and with the machine running pull the trigger. If a great amount of solution comes out of the supply hole, then your nozzle is clogged. You can try clearing it with a very thin pin and then rinsing it out.

In about 6 months, my pump would no longer spray solution at all but I could hear the tiny pump still running inside the machine when I would pull the trigger. Remove the tanks, unplug the unit, and look carefully and you will see the few screws holding the unit together. Pull it apart carefully and don't use much force as some of it snaps together and you don't want to break those tabs. Once open, you can find the solution pump, a little fella. The drive shaft on the motor that spins the pump had rusted away completely! Design flaw. In lieu of getting it repaired, I simply started using a spray bottle for my solution application. Several years later and I'm ready to take the time to replace the pump - a very simple process. From the research I've done, the part number for the solution pump is:
Manufacturer's Part Number: 6035029
If you google search "Bissell 6035029 VacPartsWarehouse" without the quotes, you should find your part there for around $9.

Try this direct link to VacPartsWarehouse's website:
VacPartsWarehouse Bissell 1425-2 Little Green ProHeat
Click item #9. It's very simple to install. If you can wield a philips screwdriver, and pay attention to how you've disassembled the unit and then just reverse the steps, you can fix this yourself on the cheap.

Good luck! :)
