SOURCE: Sears model # 875.501390 floor jack will not raise at all.

IT SOUNDS LIKE IT IS CAPABLE OF MOVING FLUID FROM THE RESERVOIR TO THE CYLINDER. CAN YOU SEE THE SMALL PUMP PISTON POP BACK OUT WHEN PUMPING THE HANDLE? MOST JACK PROBLEMS BELIEVE IT NOT IS AIR. THEY GET AIR POCKETS IN THEM AND CANT PUMP THEM OUT. TRY REMOVING THE FILL PLUG ( TYPICALLY A SMALL RUBBER POP-IN CAP ) FROM THE CYLINDER AND JACK IT UP. IF THIS WORKS DO IT FEW TIMES, THEN REINSTALL THE PLUG. YOU COULD ALSO HAVE A SMALL CHECK VALVE PROBLEM INSIDE. IF YOU DISASSEMBLE, BEWARE OF SMALL SPRINGS AND CHECK BALLS. MAKE NOTES. HOPE THIS HELPS.

SOURCE: jacks stalls 1/2 way up

try opening the hydrolic oil "fill" plug to let air in...Your jack came with a vented plug, for you to put on after shipping...so oil doesn't leak while being transported...I hope this helps,...1nglen

How to overhaul/ repair a hydraulic floor jack?

Sounds like a bad seal on that plunger that pumps up and down. That plunger should unscrew and then it's pilled out , there should be an O ring. That is where it probably is leaking. You probably need to top off oil. You can jack oil in an auto store or Lowes, etc.

Is there anywhere that you can tighten the seal retainer if not needs a new seal . My experience is that a seal kit is as expensive as buying a new jack plus the work that goes into it. Look up how much to buy a new one and a set of seals then decide

My floor jack wont go up like it should it does go up but real slow and thean it creaps down and it has no leaks its a 3 ton crashman floor jack

Someone has likely overtightened the the handle valve and distorted or cracked the ball or seat to where it will no longer seal. If you can provide a model number we might be able to find a parts diagram and see if it is repairable.
