SOURCE: Water dispensing by itself without anyone touching the dispenser!

Reverse the wires you took off the solenoid, I think you have the icemaker wires on the water disp side and the water disp on the icemaker

AEG 78738, no ice made

It is possible that water line to the ice maker is frozen. Try thawing it out with a hair dryer and see if that solves the problem. It could also be the solonoid valve located behind the fridge where the water line connects.Make sure the arm above the ice bin is in the down position.Hope this helps.

Water dispenser problem

I would first check the water supply to the fridge, which you may have already done, then I would check the supply in the fridge, if it is in the fridge I would look at the door switch as being faulty, if the door switch is good, I would next look at the water fill solonoid to see if the coil is getting power and is still good, then I would check to make sure the solonoid is not sticking, being full of scale build up or frozen up Hope this helps

No water from water dispenser

first check to see if you have water coming in from the water line.shut off water valve, disconnect line at back of unit, turn valve back on making sure it goes into a bucket.if you have water,reconnect.2 possible problems, bad water solonoid valve or froze water line..Sometimes the actual switch sticks but not likely your would have to check voltage at solonoid valve.if you have water coming in and voltage at solonoid when when you hit the water button, then it is the solonoid.if not, may be frozen internal water line as they run threw the bottom of the freezer .

Water line hooked up makes ice but no water from dispenser

Have a look at the back of the fridge. There are 2 valves that feed the ice maker and the water dispenser. Have someone push the dispenser button while you feel which solonoid activates.Once located, remove that single pipe from that valve and reactivate the dispencer button. If water shoots out then you know the problem is further on. I would suspect there is then an issue with the water filter. Remove it and inspect for defects. If the filter is old, suggest you replace it as they clog up reasonably quickly. Retry. Please let me know.

Ice maker is not filling w water. water does come

The ice maker likely needs replaced however it could also be the fill valve. If you have the ability to locate the valve at the end of the fill hose (usually bottom right when looking at the back of the fridge) it will have 2 solonoids with electical connectors on them. Swap the connectors and press the water dispenser paddle. This should fill the icemaker. If it does, the valve is fine and the icemaker is bad.

Ice amker and water spickett is no longer working

Hollow ice cubes are the result of poor water flow to the ice maker. I know you already have experienced flow issur since you mentioned poor water dispenser flow. You apparently have a filter clogged, a house supply valve clogged or lastly a clogged water solonoid valve. The filter is self explanitory. You would replace the filter. The house supply valve is next most likely, to test it you would need to remove the supply line at the rear of the refrigerator after turning supply off the turn supply on to check flow. If the flow is STRONG then next most likely is a clogged solonoid valve. To test it you would, with supply connected and turned on, need to locate the plastic tube that goes to the water dispenser reservoir in the refrigerator section. Disconnect the tube at the solonoid valve and place glass or pitcher at solonoid port while someone presses the diapenser lever. If you have poor flow then but had good supply flow, the valve must be bad.
