My kitchenaid electric dryer not heating

Kitchenaid dryers have real weak heating elements, I would test that first, if you have an ohm meter look for small resistance, an open would mean the heating element is bad.

Hi,

I have an older dishwasher also and recently my wife also complained about it not cleaning right... so me being the man I am tried in vain to clean the things... They just installed a kitchenaid 36 inch KDRP467K

Hello- 'They' should have re-checked bus block connections for cord. Element won't work with one leg. If connections look good, check element connections and then power connection for element at board. If it still doesn't work, check resistance of element. Should be around 13ohms. This is the troubleshoot sequence for solution to your problem, but should be under warranty for first year. A piece of advice- avoid the 'self-clean' function. This feature is called 'self-destruct' by techs. Please acknowledge this post if helpful. Have more info if needed. Thanks-  Ed

One of the burners on my kitchenaid cooktop will not heat up. What do you think the problem is? Is this something that can be easily repaired?

If it is not a glass top stove, with the power OFF, and cold, pull out a working element of the same diameter and install it where the non-working element was. Try it now. If it works, replace the heating element. If it does not, check for voltage at the element connector. CAREFULLY. Worst case is that the switch requires replacing.

KUDP01IL Dishwasher heating element

element on allthe time sounds like a direct short of the wire leading to it, trace back the wire , it will lead directly to control board behind front panel. there should be a tech sheet behind the lower kick panel complete with wire diagram
