Question about Dimplex EPX1000 Heater
I press the button on top of the heater to turn it on, the light lights up to say the heater is ready to work then as soon as the second light (which shows the heater is actually heating) comes on, both lights go out and the heater has turned itself off. I currently have 2 out of 5 heaters doing this and have previously had all 5 replaced at various points in 4 years for exactly the same reason. One of the heaters not presently working has not even been used since last Winter, the other one not working has been used regularly over the last few weeks with no problems.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I have the same problem with 3 of the 5 EPX1000s I have fitted in my flat, although mine don't even warm up. They just immediately turn themselves off. My only conclusion is that they are rubbish. Specifically, the so-called overheat protection doesn't work. Avoid.

I have exactly the same issue you describe, with a Dimplex EPX1000.
Did you manage to fix it or bought a new one? If so, which did you get?

You say the heater is 'old', so I assume that it's out of its 2 year warranty? Are you referring to the wall-switch or the switch on the heater itself?
The customer service department will be able to give you guidance on finding the problem and resolving it. If you call 0845 600 5111 and have your series number (top left of the unit) and model (CXL) to hand they will be able to help you.
P.S. Please don't try to take the heater apart or remove it from the wall unless you have experience in working on storage heaters, as the unit is VERY heavy!
