Faulty keyboard!

If it is still under warranty, phone place of purchase and organise repair.

If out of warranty, phone AUAS and find you local repair centre.

One possible cause is the bezel under the actual button is decompressed and wont pop back up. If the laptop has one, that means the little rubber like devider between the keys and the actual board that registers the key press is comopressed. You can pop off the 6 key and clean under it as well as visually check it out. you may want to remove the keys around it as well to see any issues. If you can't get it working, an easy work around is to assign one of your function keys(F1 thru F12) to the number 6. Kinda sucks but it will work until you get it fixed up.

Hi, i have a fujitsu siemens v6535 with windows 7 ultimate & my wirless switch doese'nt work, it may be broken, i tryed every way to turn it on from windows(fn+f1 & other ways) ???? how ca

Have you tried turning it on manually? Look on both sides and in front of the laptop for the switch.

Maybe you don't have your wireless turned on. Look on both sides and in front for the Wireless Switch and turn it on.

Also once the wireless switch is turned on there are keystrokes that can toggle the wireless on or off. Normally you would Press and Hold the FN function key located at the lower left of the keyboard, then hit the correct F1 thru F12 key that toggles the wireless. The correct F1 thru F12 key to hit will have the wireless signal icon )))) on it. Or it might have the icon of a tower with the wireless signal icon )))). Normally the screen will display Wireless On or Wireless Off when you toggle the wireless.

My computer laptop model is Toshiba satellite P750. The FN key doesn't work. Nothing happen when i touch it.

The "Fn" key is a function key, it works with the top row of F1 to F12 keys.

row "F" keys,

I'v provided a link for you to go to for the full list of "F" functions and what they
do for you as well as how to operate them on your Toshiba Laptop.

If the keyboard doesn't have a Fn key often the Scroll Lock key is used, try Scr Lk + Down arrow to dim the display.
The manual indicates and Fn Key to the right of the Left Alt Key but that doesn't mean you have that keyboard eitther

My shift keys and f1-12 keys are not working , can u say why plz

you need to isolate if this a hardware issue or software. the quickest way is to backup your data and reload the windows on your computer. if you reload windows and it doesn't work, just replace the keyboard if it's a desktop. if it's a laptop you'll have to get warranty service or go to a local computer shop.

I'm have a lot of trouble with my netbook. Icann't download Adobe flash player nor can I acess help on this pc . I'm begining to feel I wasted my time an money on it .

On most PCs, pressing the F1 key (it is at the top left of your keyboard) will access help. Since you never said what netbook (manufacturer and model) you had, I can't be sure that it is F1 but you can try it anyways. If it doesn't work, read the user guide that came with your netbook or add a comment to your problem with your netbook's manufacturer and model name & number so that I can then research how to access help for your netbook and provide you with an answer on Fixya.

Your problems downloading Adobe flash player can be due to many reasons. The best way to solve this is to use Adobe's web site Troubleshoot Flash Player installation. Click on the following...

We are trying to graph an equation but we cannot seem to use the F1 key. The alpha won't toggle it on. And the exponent button only allows for 1 character, but we need 2. Everything works fine on a...

The F1 key is activated by pressing the alpha (green button) and then the f1 key. If that doesn't work then your calculator may be broken and you might want to check with your warranty to get a new one.
As for the exponent key you can do this by pressing the ^ key and then placing parentheses around the two digit exponent. An example for 2 to the tenth power would be: 2^(10)
