1.when you turn off power to the unit and retry with power after two minutes does the unit fire up and is there blue flames or is it more white or yellow This could be a blocked intake or exhaust vent also gas pressure could be fluctuating from another gas appliance firing. 2. does the flame jump when the main fan turns on this could be a cracked heat exchanger which is the part where the flame blows in. let me know if this help

Furnace will not light

Most furnaces can be reset by turning the power off and back on.
The pressure switch senses pressures in the furnace to make sure the exhaust fan or draft inducer is operating properly. if not the furnace shuts down. check the inlet and exhaust terminals outside for obstructions (I.E: leaves, frost or snow) check the drains to make sure they are not clogged . Hope this helps.

Frigidaire Furnace model #FG6RA-096C-16B status light blinks 3 times.

Pressure Switch is Closed with Inducer Off. The inducer will only kick on if the pressure switch is open to initialize the call for heat.

My furnace is flashing four times on model number dgaa090bdta I would like to try changing out the dual element time delay fuse. I have an extra one. Where is it located?

That's a coleman brand furnace and the four blinks of the green LED light indicate that the lower limit switch is currently open which would indicate an overheating issue. This would cause the gas valve to not open and thus no flame and no heat. Likely, the switch is just bad and needs to be replaced. Here is a source for the switch: http://www.hvacpartstore.com/2409.html . The switch is located right next to the electronics control panel un the upper section of the furnace. You can try turning off the power and taking the switch out and tap on it a few time or try to flex the snap sensor a little bit on the back side. That might get it working temporarily until you can get a new on. Just don't try to bypass the switch or modify it all since it is very necessary for saftey.

Check your furnace door. Sometimes there is a legend to how many blinking lights means what. I had an issue with mine, read the code and it turns out it was hitting the high heat limit. Turns out my blower motor wasn't turning on. Replaced it with a spare and it was fixed. Find out what type of furnace, and google the name, model, and the words, 3 blinking lights. Does your furnace turn on at all? Does it start to go through the cycle then stop? This is the proper cycle of a furnace and what should happen.

Inducer motor kicks on, it runs for a little bit, about 3-5 seconds, then you should see a bright yellow glow, this is the igniter, shortly after, you should hear a click and the gas should start to flow, almost immediately it turns to a blue flame. Then your igniter should turn off and the blower motor start up.

On a 80% Rheem upflow furnace... The AC works fine but when switched to heat nothing happens. "OK" LED is on solid, second LED is blinking 3 times, "FLAME" LED is not on at all. What can be the problem?

Hello ANGUS,I think 3 blinks is open pressure switch, try taking the door off the furnace. The upper left hand side is a round black box with a hose attached to it .Gently tap the switch(box) and turn off power for 2 seconds andback on,then call for heat.the blower door has a sticker inside that tells you just what the blinks mean.

I had the same problem, I had to remove the lower black rubber stopper right next to the exaust fan and hook up a drain to the unit, as soon as the water drained out the furnace fired right up.

The led indicator blinks 3 times on an Amana 90 furnace. What does this mean? The furnace won't fire.

Pressure switch open. Remove the small hose at the blower assy and gently **** on it. You should hear the switch on the other end of that hose change states. If not then it's the hose (cheap) or the switch (100 bucks but tough to find 2 years ago) or the wiring to/from or the control module. If it does do you have a bunch of white **** (the gasket) coming out of the black blower mount? I had to remove broken gasket and Permatex the seal to create the proper pressure; that's probably your problem as well.
