What I just did was a bit easier, I opened the cover, tilted it up to about 45 degrees and sprayed the WD-40 on the front of the shaft. It fires up fine now. I did notice that the shaft seems to have a very slight bend which is probably the cause.

Remove the outer cover and then the plate at the back of the motor, then lube the back of the motor and the inside of the plate with a lubricant spray. (wd40) put it all back together.

Heil model NUGI125DH03 heater fan doesnt shut off when after burners are extinguished and plenum is cooled. Is it Limit switch or control relay

Confirm that the FAN (auto/on) switch at the thermostat is in the auto position.
I have cycled between the auto-on positions on the thermostat and confirmed that the control relay is sticky. After a few cycles the control relay sticking had corrected itself. I attribute it to residue on the contacts collecting and after a few cycles cleans off.

The limit switch has also failed but can be easily checked by checking the control voltage, Remember that the limit control has two circuits one is 115 volts the other is 24 volt control circuit.

The other circuit for cooling can also activate the fan control relay depending on the control logic set up. So the thermostat has the ability to activate the fan either by the (auto/on) or cool cycle if an A/C unit is attached to the furnace.

I would not assume that it can only be the limit or control relay. Less likely a shorted wire or defective thermostat could cause the same result.

My 40-FAC heater will not ignite and run. The igniter has been replaced. What should I check next?

These models require electrical power to run the blower fan.
When you connect the electrical cord, the fan should turn on, then you should be able to start / ignite the propane. if the fan does not turn on when you connect the power cord, you will not be able to ignite the propane.

Reddi heater sprays and igniter gets hot but heater wont fire up??

If the heater will not ignite, this maybe caused by low pump pressure or perhaps a fuel blockage, or could be caused by too much air from the fan, the hot surface igniter heaters are very sensitive to this kind of problem. Will the heater start with the top cover removed?? If so try closing down the angle of the fan blades a little, but not too much, to reduce the air forced into the combustion chamber. If the heater will not start with the top cover removed, try adjusting the pump pressure, or replace the nozzle. This may not be very scientific, but the solution maybe by trial and error, and can be very frustrating! Hope this helps.

Showing ee 8 wont start

Remove the front cover. Remove the 1 1/2 inch black hose that has a 90 degree bend into the silver box. With the stove OFF stick your finger in the hole and try to spin the fan. It may take a few times but keep trying it should break free. Once free the stove will work. If it spins freely and still gives the EE8 you wll need a new motor.

Remove the top cover, plu it back in and see if the hum goes away, if it
doesn`t look to see if the fan is stuck, if it is unplug and try to spin it
by hand, if it wont spin replace the fan motor

The fan is "sticking" before firing up. How do you correct the problem? Thanks for the help!

These motors normally use a sintered-bronze, graphite embedded bearing. They are normally pretty reliable but they can get clogged with a combination of graphite and contaminants from the air.
I would first try getting some WD-40 or other penetrating lubricant on the motor shafts if you can see them. It would work best if the fan was running if you can safely get some spray onto the shafts' ends.
BTW, WD-40 is not a lubricant and evaporates fairly quickly so isn't good for sewing machines for example. A resin-free light oil such as 3-in-1 is much better; it doesn't evaporate fast or leave sticky residue when it gets old.

Will not start unless top cover is off

Check that the fan is clean and unobstructed. It sounds like something may be cutting down the air flow. Or the cad eye may be faulty or dirty.
Hope this helps.
