Pro 99 non-HD big screen. That's the model number. I did find the ICs, they are the STK 392-110's. I will be replacing them with the 180's.

Cool. That's a very weird model number.

Sounds like convergence outputs. Possibly some biasing resistors.

What convergence ic's are used in the Pioneer pro 99?

I doubt that, most use the stk-392-110 but the part number will be right on both chips, it should use two chips.

The convergence chip is going in my pioneee elite

Yes there are two ICs in your model they are around 20.00 each for quality ICs. Cheaper ICs are available but I wouldnt recommend them as theyre most likely the inferior chineese made ICs and they fail quickly.

Power problem on Pioneer Pro-700HD

The failure is not on the power supply but the convergence amplifiers STK ICs have the 24 volts shorted.
If that fuse is blowing, de-solder the convergence ICs and put a new fuse to power up the TV; you should see distorted video when the TV powers up and the fuse should not blow.
The service manual migth not help much in this case since the failure is easy to pin point.

Good Luck.

I have a older model

You will need to replace both convergence ICs. This is a simple common repair for all projection TVs. If you would like I can post a link where you can order your ICs and they provide step by step instructions on how to remove the old and install the new ones.

T.V. Convergence

John, im sorry to have to tell you, you have the normal convergence break down, and any adjustment is not going to fix the problem. The Convergence ICs are bad in this set, and both should be replaced at once, as you do not want to pay another repair price 6 months down the road. In these sets there are no user replaceable parts, unless you know how to work on solid state printed circuit boards and understand about the TV safety factors involved. Good Luck Please do not forget to rate this thread.
