Boost wifi signal strengh - Monoprice Wireless 802.11N Router w/ WPS & WISP Function 300Mbps

I'm a novice when it comes to wireless. My MONOPRICE MS-WN513N2 is next to my Desktop Computer and I bought a 60 inch Vizio TV with WIFI built into it. My TV room is in the basement at the other end of the house and when I watch a Netfix movie the signal will drop out during viewing. I was told the I could add a signal booster between the TV and Router. How can this be done?

Buy a wireless access point or router that supports AP mode. Set one device on channel 1 set the other device on channel 6 or channel 11. Give each device the same SSID. So if your network is called Gopher, set each devices wireless network name to Gopher and security settings are the same. Channels 1,6 and 11 frequencies do not interfere with each other, this allows each devices signal to overlap but effectively operate as the same wireless network.

How do i increase wi-fi signal strength

There are only a few ways to increase signal strength ..move closer to the source (the router) , get a bigger antenna or boost the signal...you can boost the signal with foil in the shape of a parabola around the router antenna or make one out of a vegatable strainer that will plug into the laptop(this one works best )especially for picking up your neighbors WIFI

Hi i have Gtalk but some of the wifi it is

It is mostly becuase of the poor wifi connectivity in those areas. Make sure you have proper signals in those areas. If you don't have proper signal strength in those areas then you can use some wifi repeaters to boost your signal strength.
Hope this might help you solve your problem Best Regards NextDoorNerd

Wi-Fi signal strenght depends a lot on where your PC is located if you are not getting 100% signal strength try moving it to someplace where there not much obstacles to interupt the signal.
