Change router password

LOST ROUTER LOGIN PASSWORD
If you have forgotten your personal router login password there is no way to recover it. You will have to reset the router. This means all the settings on the router will be reset to factory defaults. It also means that all your connected devices will need to be connected again with the new security information (WEP, WAP, etc,) . You will need the default admin login name and the default admin password. This can be found in the user guide that came with the router. This can usual be found online at the router manufacturers site.
There is usually a button or a switch hidden in a pinhole opening on the back of the router. Pressing and holding the switch for 10 seconds or so will cause the reset and usually the LEDs will flash and blink for several seconds as the router firmware sestets and clears out the old information.
If you are trying to get into someone else's router illegally there is no way to find out their login password.
For future reference, write the password down, or a hint at what the password is, on a piece of tape and secure it on the bottom of the router. I use my cell phone memo function to store all my passwords.

Tp link 5210

You can use repeaters but its not an ideal solution. You may need repeaters at every 100m which means 10 repeaters plus internet or connectivity is not guranteed. Because distance is very large. Look for an alternate ISP connection or something.

In my device wirless strangth singal led is not power on. pls give me solution(TP-Link) TL-WA5210g

http://www.tp-link.com/en/support/downloadFiles.aspx?mid=01030301&version=V1&pmodel=TL-WA5210G
Seems a problem with the firmware. Double check if your product is the same as the link above and apply the fix described in the support page.
Top firmware version 09/30/2010. this firmware version will include the previous fixes like LED is not ON. Download the file decompress and execute. Please use a wired connection (CAT5/6 network cable) between your computer and the outdoor device. Do not use the wireless connection and be sure that both devices (source computer and destination AP/router/wireless TP device are powered up at mains (no batteries). Back-up yor settings as a firmware update is possible to erase all your settings.
A bit of trivia:
Your wireless outdoor device is decent but not "50km". For that you need a big comms tower.
Good luck.

I have TP LINK WAIRLESS ROUTER TL-WR642G. I have connected properly, last time i could log in and configure. But now i forgot last password, reset properly the router but cant login by default username and...

You'll need to reset your router if you can't remember the password to get into the settings. There should be a tiny button on the back that you can press with a pen or pencil.
Once it's reset, get on a computer that's connected to the router and type this address into the URL field:
192.168.1.1
This should get you to the settings. If it prompts for a password, try "admin" and leave the field blank.

Please help me out in connecting two wifi routers

Hi there! Follow these instructions:

Place your TP-Link at the center of your business location for wi-fi easy-access for your customers.

Then connect an 8-port Switcher (HUB) in one of the 4 ethernet ports at the back of your TP-Link so you can use them for your hard-wire connections.

On your TP-Link, you still has 3 ports available and your customers can also connect to your wireless network easily!

Get back to me if you need additional tips!

How to reset the security key of my trendnet tew-430apb 54mbps wireless access point?

To change your router wireless security
  • Support site here http://www.trendnet.com/products/proddetail.asp?prod=150_TEW-430APB&cat=83
  • User guide here http://www.trendnet.com/asp/download_manager/inc_downloading.asp?iFile=10853
  • Quick setup here http://www.trendnet.com/asp/download_manager/inc_downloading.asp?iFile=10856
Connect your PC to the router with a cable to one of the LAN connections - Now you need to Log into the setup of the router - to do that open a web browser, use Internet explorer (some routers setup pages do not work correctly with other browsers) In the browser address bar - Enter IP address http://192.168.1.100 to the address location. When there is a screen needs to enter the User name and Password, both of the default Username and Password is “admin”
Now you can goto the wireless section or secruity section and set the type of encyption to WEP, WPA, WPA-PSK etc and then make up your own password. See Page 12 of the User Manual
On the PC Double click on the wireless connection in the system tray (bottom right hand side of screen) and then connect manually to your wireless signal - you will be asked for the password you set in the router.
Now you are connected.
You may need to remove any old wireless profiles you have on the PC/Laptops

Wireless Profiles - XP http://mgmcc.forumotion.net/networking-tutorials-f17/removing-an-existing-wireless-profile-t109.htm http://www.tp-link.com/support/showfaq.asp?id=186 - delete the preferred networks start> control panel> network connections> right click on the wireless connection listed wireless networks tab in the preferred network list click on each one and - remove button
you will then have to enter the wireless security key for any networks you connect to

Dynex Router

Please go check my tip it can help
Every configuration change on WLAN router must be done via LAN cable: connect router and PC with LAN cable
To connect with your router find gateway IP in your network connection status.
Use this IP in your browser (have Java enabled and use IE: some router refuse different browser)
as soon you get the ID + Password login page enter admin as ID and the password you created OR use default one if you didn't touch it.
You do not tell router model, if you dont have the default code look here to retrieve the manufacturer initial credential.
as soon as you are in the router config pages check if anythig changed in wlan settings: if you saved router config in your PC retrieve it OR create a new set of standard.
Of course security protocol you use (I recommand WPA-PSK with TKIP) must match with clients settings.
configure your console with same protocol and settings.
OR remove any security (not recommanded) and be sure you do not Hide your SSID to be able to see your network in your clients (use a proprietary name for your SSID)
