T61 won't go past the Microsoft loading screen

Press F8 during boot, and load Safe Mode. A program may be preventing a proper startup.

Try disabling startup programs. Go to Start > Run (search in Win 7) and type MSConfig > Startup tab and uncheck anything that you don't want Windows to load automatically. It will make Windows boot faster and use less resources while running.

Windows wont load

Kindly Elaborate your issue to enable us to help you. Let me know if What exactly you see on the screen and at what point the screen stops working..

If you see the windows loading screen and it does not load try the following.
Restart the computer and keep Tapping the F8 key
You will see a screen that says Advance boot options
Select the option that says Safe mode
See if it boots in Safe mode
If you are able to start the computer in safe mode, Try to restore the computer to an earlier time when the system was working fine.
This should help you to fix the computer.

The windows files are corrupted or the hard drive has issues, load cd installation disc if available, if that fails have the hardware checked for possible replacement.
