The white button is in lock postion and I cant shut door

If you did not put the panel back on then it is easy to unlatch if the window glass is not in the way.. IF the panel is back on and the door is closed and locked, you need to get a wedge and roll the window down and use a slim jim type tools to unlatch it.

if you cant unlock door inside.use door key unlock from out side or use key remote.

i just had a simlar on a 97. The child look got pushed in and then door handle broke. I am looking for a way to open mine.

the weiser set should have a tiny hole in the knob or rosette around the knob. A paperclip or such can be pushed into the hole to unlock the door. That is the primary difference between a privacy lock and a security lock. Farmerbear at FixYa

unplug unit. remove rear cover, see if latch motor has made it to rest position. microswitch may be holding power off to latch. a slight turn may be all you need to reset latch.

the door latch is probably in the shut position. you need to move it to the open postion.

The F9 code indicates there is a problem with the door lock.

Try disconnecting the power to the range for 10 seconds and reconnecting. Open the oven door and hold the door switch plunger in while you try these things. Put the control into clean for 5 minutes then cancel clean. You must hold the door switch plunger in for the 5 minutes.

Try canceling the clean cycle without putting the control into clean.

Thanks a million, solved the problem like a charm. For those that can't find it, it is on the left side orf the OVEN, not the stove. Once you open the door, you'll find it on the frame's upper left side corner, can't miss it. Good luck

Just get in your vech , close all doors. Using your power lock switch , lock all doors. After doors are locked take your Ignition Key and insert it and remove it from ignition switch in a slow fashion , but consitant pace. (97 and earlyer are fast) When you see the hazzard lights flash, put key in ignition switch and turn to the On postion .. Do NOT CRANK or you will have to Start over .. After in the On postion .. Hit the Lock button on remote... Hazzard lights should flash..( note..you have to reprogram all remotes when adding a new one , if you don't your old remotes will not work ) If your doing just the one , turn igntion switch off and unlock door and get out and try it. If you are doing more than one. While still in Vech with Key on . After you hit the Lock button on Remote and hazzard light flashed .. with key still on .. use master lock switch unlock doors and relock and then hit Second Remote, Lights should flash again , repeat if adding a 3rd remote.. after done just turn key off and unlock door and get out and try. Tool: We cut a piece a wire about 10 inches long from a wire clothes hanger. On one end we bent 1/2 inch of the wire in a 90 degree angle with needle nose pliers. On the other end of wire we put another bend at least three inches.(this end will be your handle end) Process of using homemade tool to release latch: Make sure washing machine is on a wash cycle. Use flash light to locate latch in the locking catch. Insert the small bend of the tool into the locking catch. Then hook onto the latch and pull out --apply a small amount of pressure -- about three lbs of pressure) Then at the same time you are pulling, press in on the door release button (the little white button above the latch hole where you now have the wire inserted). As your are pulling with little pressure on the latch, hold the little white button in and press the start /stop button. You should hear the door lock. Let machine start working. (about ten seconds) Now push start/stop button again and you should hear door lock release. Your lock catch should give away. This worked for us.
