Are you near a wireless access point? You didn't give any info. Is the wireless adapter on? Enabled? Working properly? Is the wireless access point Working? Connected to a Provider? You see what I am getting at?

BSNL 3G Configuration for HTC Wildfire (A3333) - Postpaid
1. Speak to BSNL customer Service center and get the
confirmation whether 3G service is activated.
2. Menu -> Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Mobile networks -> Access Point Names -> New APN
don't change anything else and just save the settings.

Select 'Mobile Network' to connect to internet and look for see letter 'H' at
the top near the coverage bars.
5. Lauch the browser and check 'Google.com'
Its working fine for me after a long struggle with BSNL customer care, Finally got fixed by applying the above fix.
