My pressure is bad

Most likely a failing water softner. Have it services asap. Or replace the resin yourself but do it quickly. Bypass the softner in the mean time. There is a valve assembly on the head of the softner. Set it to bypass.

How to add fabric softner to the amana washer with locking lid

Check and see if there is a cup in the top of the agitator. Some machines have you put it there, turning back and forth during wash doesn't bother it, but the spin to empty the wash water causes the softener to go out through slots in the top of the cup and be held in the agitator. when it stops the softener drains into the tub, ready for the rinse cycle.

Where are the "never-lose pins"

Woods 59204 manual says pins, and I think the timer has tabs or segments instead.
These are located on the rotating part of dial.
Look at pictures on following link to see 4 basic pin-tab-segment layouts that are used to turn these timers on and off: It's likely that your timer will be one of these.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#Pins-tabs
Some timers have pins that click in and out
Some have segments that pull up
Some have segments that pull out
Some have segments that push down
Add a comment any time.

The phrase 'never-lose' means the pin-tab-segment is permanently attached to the timer dial.
Older timers, and many box timers have loose pins or trippers that you attach to the timer dial ... and of course people lose these trippers and are constantly searching for their model number of tripper which is not available. And some of these older timers were expensive. For example the older style malibu power packs have trippers, but when the tripper wears out, there are no replacements and power packs are expensive.

Cant get it to use softner out of dispencer

if this is one of the newer(less then 3 years old) it probably has a button on the control panel that will say fabric softener. it will only flush the cavity out if you push that button. if it is an older model then the fill line for the softner cavity is brobably clogged

Test mode? Do you mean Service Mode and you turn on the solenoid for the water valve to divert water to the Fabric dispenser reservoir and it is flushed in Service Mode?

See if this solution will help with your trouble shooting.

Softner won't drain

Sir,

if you mean that the softner (from the detergant drawer) will not enter the drum during the normal cycle, then....

the softner has become solid, you need get hot water and get the hardened softner loose within the pipe to the drum clear.

I suggest using a solid electrical cable core to clear it

Softner buildup

Fabric softners are designed to be thich and tacky so they adhere to clothing. Unfortuneately, that also means they are going to do it even worse in an agitator expecially as there is no water to dilute it. When I clean my fabric softner cup, I generally just throw it in the dishwasher and let it run since there are many areas of it that cannot be disassembled. Please make sure to run it in a cycle all by itself without any dishes. Now as to the removal. There are two main types of dispensers whirlpool has used. The first will have a greenish blue ring around it. Simply lift up on the ring and it will pull off easily. Now the second style is a bit more chalenging. While the cap up top will come off just by rocking it back and forth. Once this is off you will find a cup underneath that sits on 4 "pins" To get the bottom peice off, place one hand on the top part of your agitator and use one hand to twist the base of the fabric softner in a counter-clockwise direction. It will allow it to come off. Once you it off, you will be able to see down inside your agitator. There will be more build up underneath. I would recommend wiping this part out making sure to clean the drain holes that go out to the side. If you attempt to remove the clear cap underneath, it is very difficult to get the seal on it to seat back in properly. To help prevent against future build ups, pre-diluting your fabric softner with water ahead of time will slow the build up.

My machaine no longer takes the softner when on rinse .

open the soap drawer when softener should be taken and see if there is a jet of water into the conditioner box. if not, a common cause is the jets in the roof of the box blocked. poke a hairpin in the holes in the roof of the box and see if this cures the problem. if the rinse water does come in, this means that the actual water valve is ok
