How to remove and replace wifi card macbook pro A1286

To remove and replace the WiFi card in a MacBook Pro A1286, you will need to follow these steps:
  1. Shut down your MacBook Pro and disconnect the power cord.
  2. Turn the MacBook Pro over and locate the battery. Remove the battery by pressing the battery release latch and pulling the battery out of the computer.
  3. Remove the screws that hold the bottom case in place. There should be 10 screws total, including two hidden screws underneath the rubber feet.
  4. Lift the bottom case off of the MacBook Pro and set it aside.
  5. Locate the WiFi card, which is located near the center of the motherboard. It should be a small rectangular module with an antenna attached to it.
  6. Disconnect the antenna cables from the WiFi card by gently pulling them out of the connectors.
  7. Remove the screws that hold the WiFi card in place. There should be two screws total.
  8. Lift the WiFi card out of the motherboard and set it aside.
  9. Insert the new WiFi card into the motherboard and secure it with the screws.
  10. Reconnect the antenna cables to the new WiFi card.
  11. Replace the bottom case, making sure to align the holes with the screws and secure the case with the screws.
  12. Replace the battery and power on the MacBook Pro to test the new WiFi card.
Note: Be sure to handle the WiFi card carefully, as it is a delicate component and can be damaged easily. If you are not comfortable performing this repair, you may want to consider taking your MacBook Pro to a professional repair service.

I have Macbook pro and spill water. It is now 6days and dying out.Very hard to remove battery as Macbook has 6-8 screws to remove batteryMac book is only year old.Is there any easy way to start without

Was it just water or was there any salt or sugar in the liquid water? Did you set the Macbook vertical ( so the water would not sit on the motherboard?
BTW: The first thing you should have done after water spillage was to remove power and the battery!

Hi My laptop "MacBook Pro" first

First insert the CD you wish to boot to. Then let the mac start up all the way. Go to system preferences, then click startup disk. From there select the drive you wish to boot to. then select restart, and it will restart to that disk or CD.

If you have "good batteries" installed in the mouse and keyboard and you still have the problem- the best way is to remove the devices via the System Preference panel in your MacBook and then re-install them again. It is important that you remove them first as the system may revert to the previous connection. Good luck!
