Question about Televison & Video
I also have to issue with no picture (black screen) or sound... I have checked all of the prower supply voltages at the board and at the main board and they all seem good. I did heat the video chip with a heat gun to see if it nay be bad solder joints and the TV started working! but only for a few days and the problem came back. I have done this heating of the video chip 3 times and the problem returns... I have tried all of the inputs and no picture. The green light comes on solid when the TV is powered on but i have to hold it for 5 seconds to get it to turn off?? I have had feedback that it may be the T-Con board.. How do I troubleshoot other that checking the voltage to the board or simply replacing it?? Any feedback would be appreciated!! Thanks!

If the power supply outputs are good! Then I would say the back light inverter is bad! If the screen stays black and does not come on.

I suspect that your supply has gone bad. You will need to find the service manual for voltage measurements. If you want to get replacement boards many can be found on ebay or you can check www.shopjimmy.com they stock boards for many units and I have had no problems.

SOURCE: I have a insignia ns-lcd37
Its 100% sure that the source of the problem is the backlight inverter board. The fact that there is no backlight confirms this. You will need to replace the backlight inverter board to resolve this problem. If you can get me the part number off the same I can find you a replacement
