SOURCE: graphic card for x70a asus

I am really sorry to tell you that approximately all the laptop come with only onboard graphics chip and there is no PCIE slot available on their motherboard to insert an external graphics card.

So you wont be able to upgrade you graphics card for this laptop.

Take the card to an electronics store and show them it, they should be able to sell you the correct one.

Can an asus n20-a video card be replaced?

I have another idea. Haven't tried it yet, but will soon.

It detracts from the PORTABILITY of a laptop, but DOES increase the graphics power. Came from someone who posted along with a solution, I and White Zombie gave.

See what you think, post back in a Comment,

2) http://www.hwtools.net/Adapter/PE4H.html

The Asus N20A series of Notebook PC's has a Express Card slot,

Just food for thought.

Otherwise the answer would be No.
The graphics chipset is soldered to the motherboard, with a BGA surface mount. It is not a graphics adapter card.

Hi there! I have a red mist on my computer sceen. I uninstalled my graphic drivers and re installed and it ws gone. 2 days later it happened again. How can i fix it? Laptop Asus F3JR

Does the problem occur on external monitors (i.e. TV's connected) too?
If it does, it's likely a driver issue.
Deinstall the driver, download the tool DriverSweeper (just google it), deinstall the drivers for ATi-Graphics or NVidia-Graphics, and install the latest drivers. If you don't know whether you have an ATi or NVidia card, just delete both.
If you don't know where to download the drivers, I'll post a link.

I want to download a suitable driver for my unknown graphics card

You need to know what graphics card is in it. I think it is either a ati or geforce. go to asus website. look for support and find the drivers for it click on this website . http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx
Good luck

I can put 512 video only? So i cant 1024?

Yes you can go for a external graphics card to have 1024 MB of Video..but that will make your existing graphics card useless.
There is no way to upgrade the existing graphics card.

Rate the solution as Fixya.

Asus F3S Laptop Graphics Card Died

If you have run the laptop in safe mode it uses the standard VGA graphics driver, and this indicates the onboard graphics card is still functioning.
Try connecting and external monitor to your laptop and the boot up your laptop.
Then :-
1. Download the latest graphics driver from ASUS WEB site.
2. uninstall the graphics driver.
3. Reboot the laptop and install the new graphics driver.
4. Shut down and remove the external monitor and reboot.
5. Goto the Control panel - Display and check/set the settings for screen resolution, Colour setting etc.
