I HAVE A RED BLINKING LIGHT, AS WELL. FIRST, I CALLED STAPLES, BECAUSE OF THE EXTENDED WARRANTY I PURCHASED. AFTER A 10 MINUTE TUG OF WAR, WITH AN AUTOMATED OPERATOR, I WAS FINALLY CONNECTED TO A HUMAN. I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS A BATTERY ISSUE AND IT WAS NOT COVERED ( BIG SURPRISE ). SO, I JUST CALLED CASIO @ 1-800-435-7732. A LIVE OPERATOR ( BONNIE ) CAME ON THE LINE WITHIN 2 MINUTES. SHE ASKED ME THE MODEL NO. ( EX-Z75 ) AND PURCHASE DATE ( CHRISTMAS '07 )...SHE SAID THAT IT HAS BECOME AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH THE LITHIUM BATTERY. A NEW REPLACEMENT BATTERY WILL BE SENT OUT, TOTAL FREE OF CHARGE WITHIN 5-7 DAYS! NO PROOF OF PURCHASE WAS REQUIRED. CASIO IS A PLEASANT SURPRISE IN TODAYS CORPORATE WORLD.
WHILE POSTING THIS, I THOUGHT I WOULD GIVE THE 9 VOLT BATTERY TRICK A TRY. AGAIN, I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED...IT WORKS! :)

SOURCE: charger

I am posting an answer to my own question... I called Casio Customer Service and gave them the model # and problem. They instantly sent me out a brand new battery. Turns out they have had a lot of problems with these batteries and will replace them absolutely free of charge.

SOURCE: my casio camera battery does not charge

Simple solution  ! just wire a 9V battery postive to positive and negative to negative ( be careful not to interchange them ). hold it together for 30 seconds ! done !
All this does is give the battery diode inside, a boost ! so that its connectors are activated and Voila ! it works camera's now charging !

Canon 6D battery charger flashing

Even if you won't or can't believe this, your battery can be completely dead. Or just one cell does not work anymore, but that with the same result.
When the charger is flashing it is saying I'm charging. It starts with slow flashing (once a second) then when about half charged twice a second and above 75 % three times a second. The blinking will be with orange. And after the battery is charged, the LED will turn green. Could be the battery has a bad contact or the charger.
But if al the contacts are clean and shiny the charger should start charging directly. Never leave the battery blinking for such a long time. Normal charging of a complete discharged battery can be done within 3 hours. (at room temperature)
To make sure the battery is not ok, use a multi meter and check the voltage. When measuring the voltage it should be above the working voltage that is printed on the battery. Although Canon does not print the voltage in its manual, I think he voltage will be around 7 V. Read the battery and if the voltage is only one tenth of a volt below what is printed, your battery has to be replaced.

You could try, placing the battery on the charger and after a few minuter remove and replace several times. But be aware even if this works, your battery can be over due in a little while. (unless you find something on the contacts, and you can remove this) To clean contacts never use sharp tools. Only a dry cloth.

The light at the bottom right is just telling you it's looking at the memory card. My canon batteries are about two years old and are due for replacement because they are not holding charge very well. Unfortunately all rechargeable batteries eventually lose their ability to hold charge

My sharpshooter and remote both turn on, but the helicopter does not react at all, what should i do?

I had this problem yesterday as well :)

My helicopter charged once worked and flew once for about 5 minutes. Then the helicopter stopped responding to the controller and it wouldn't take a charge. When I connected the remote to the helicopter the CHG light came on solid for about 30 seconds. This means that the controller is waiting to be plugged into the helicopter.

A couple of points to check before you go further:
1) make sure that the helicopter is turned OFF before charging!
2) When charging the red CHG light will blink.
3) When finished charging the red CHG light and the green Power light will blink at the same time.
4) After a certain amount of time both lights will stop blinking to save the batteries.

After taking the helicopter apart this is what I have found:
*The helicopter has a 140mA-H 3.7V Li-Po battery.
*The battery has a little board with 2 tiny computer chips. When the battery is empty these 2 chips will completely disconnect the battery. This prevents damaging the battery and this is why the helicopter stops responding when the battery is empty.
*There are two connections between the battery and the little board - a long connection which wraps one time around the battery and a short connection. My problem was with the short battery connection.

Solution --The little board has a short piece of foil which connects to another short piece of foil on the battery. These two pieces of foil are simply pressed together and then glued. In my case this connection broke. To fix the problem I removed the yellow tape and glue and used a soldering iron to solder the 2 foil pieces together. Make sure that you put tape (any household tape should be OK) back on the battery to prevent any shorts.

My canon eos rebel xs won't turn on. The red light turns on at the bottom. Why??????????

Check if the battery is fully charged. you may try resetting the Camera to the factory settings. If the issue persists, try power resetting the Camera. To power reset, remove the battery of the Camera and press and hold the power button for 30 seconds and reinsert the battery after one minute and check the operation. If the issue still persists, the service is required.

I can help you fix the BUSY Error or Error 99 of your Canon EOS Rebel XS / Canon EOS 1000D.

Installation of this Canon EOS Rebel XS / Canon EOS 1000D firmware version 1.06 update will solve these problems:
  1. Some cameras may exhibit a phenomenon in which the LCD monitor does not display, the shutter does not release, and the BUSY indication remains lit in the viewfinder.
  2. The message, "Err 99 Shooting is not possible. Turn the power switch to<OFF> and <ON> again or re-install the battery", appears on the camera's LCD monitor, and after the above operation is carried out,the LCD monitor displays in a language that is different from the actual language setting.
See the firmware instructions and download the firmware upgrade by following these Fixya Tips :

  1. Follow this link to download a pdf version of the firmware installation instruction guide.

Rebel XS was working fine... yesterday, all of a sudden, the LCD screen went blank and it displays 'busy' when trying to take a picture. Recharging the battery and replacing the sd card didn't change...
