Question about Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2
Hi , I've loaded the software , when i open it .. it freezes when 'updating cache settings ?/
The solurion to your problem is simple, go to Administrative Tools -> Services and stop ProtexisLicensing
(or just press Start-> Run -> services.msc and press Enter)
Stop the service and put on Disable.
Go to Strat-> Run -> sc delete ProtexisLicensing
and press Enter, now ProtexisLicensing will be removed from services list
Go to SYSTEM32 folder and rename these files:
- PSIService.exe - PSIService.bak
- PSIKey.dll - PSIKey.bak
Reboot your compter and reload the software. Should stop that not responding error. Paintshop Pro when it installs onto your computer also installs this adware onto the computer as well, in most cases by disable this service, it should correct your problems. Also a good idea is to disable that file indexer as well.. All that does is slow down your computer and you'll probably not use it in Paintshop Pro. It's not really needed. Hope this helps...
