If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LED flashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faulty inverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Please click on this link and follow my instructions to identify the fault and possible fix :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3598095-faulty_laptop_lcd_screen

Where are computer settings on a Lenova desktop computer?

Could you please provide a little more info? What is the operation system you're running (ie, Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, Linux, etc), what settings are you looking for (BIOS settings (for example, maybe you want to change the default boot device from a hard drive to a DVD drive so the computer tries to boot off the DVD drive first), power saving settings, device settings, windows update settings), etc. Also, perhaps the model number of the Lenova would help depending on what settings you're actually looking for.

My lenova laptop BMR is compressed, what's the solution for it?

The Windows operating system allows you to compress the files on your drive to conserve disk space. In some situations, this compression process will compress files required for the operating system to boot. Files that are compressed must be decompressed prior to execution. Since the operating system has not loaded, boot files cannot yet be decompressed. In this case, the operating system will fail to load and a "BootMgr is compressed" message will appear. An easy way around this problem is to boot from the Windows DVD, and use the provided interface to access your drive properties and decompress it.

Turn on the computer, and insert your Windows DVD. Press a random key on your keyboard once you see the "Press any key..." message. This interrupts booting from the hard drive and forces a boot from the Windows DVD. Click the "Next" button at the bottom of the Windows 7 dialog, and then click the "Repair your Computer" link Below. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/What-are-the-system-recovery-options-in-Windows-7 http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa364219(v=vs.85).aspx File Compression and Decompression Select the "Load Drivers" button at the bottom of the "System Recovery Options" dialog, and click the "OK" button on the "Add Drivers" dialog. This opens a file browser on your screen. Click the "Computer" icon, which is located on the left hand side of the screen. This displays an icon for your disk drive. Right-click your hard drive, and click "Properties. " This opens a Local Disk Properties dialog. Click to deselect the "Compress this drive..." option at the bottom, and then click the "Apply" button. Select the "X" icon to close the file browser window. This takes you back to the Install Windows dialog. Press the "X" icon at the corner of the Install Windows dialog. This opens a cancellation dialog. Select the "Yes" button on this dialog to restart your computer. Hope this helps

I wnt 2 install widows 7 in my lenovo y 410 54Q note book... i want drivers for installing windows 7 62 bit or 32 bit drivers needed

Firstly go to Lenova's web site and make sure that Win7 supports Lenova 3000. If it does, check 64 is supported.
If all is OK, download the 64bit drivers to a USB flash drive or burn them to a cd.

Back up all of your data!!

Put Win7 64 system disk in your DVD drive and boot from that.
Follow the prompts and be certain to install A CLEAN INSTALL.
If you don't you will bring problems with you from your old system.
When Windows has finished installing, go through all of your programmes, installing them, as you have an empty drive to put them on, then install the 64bit drivers from your CD or USB drive.
Good luck and I hope this helps.

I use windows 7 operating system on lenova ideapad U350 keyboard and mouse is disabled : it is not detected after boot:

It is easy to use and you do not have to change the settings for it to do its job, it can adapt its charge in the Dell Inspiron 6000 battery, it is re-fueling and, once the battery is full, this is converted into a pulse charge.
