SOURCE: what is the quick wash cycle for smeg wd16ba

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Methinks you could do with a manual- for now and probably later!
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount.
You could also try the manufacturer's web site direct ;-0)

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

I suggest you check with your local white appliance engineer but I don't think you will have any difficulty sourcing the parts you need from your local plumber's merchant, motor factor, hydraulic specialist or motor accessory shop, depending which way you want to do the job.

You could, for instance, make a small two-port manifold from standard tap connectors, elbows and copper water pipe if you want the result to be workman-like and substantial or alternatively fit a tee or "Y" junction into your cold water hose and then shorten a hot water hose and connect to the unused branch of the tee.
It will need to be a neat and secure job especially if your cold water pressure is high; in order to avoid floods.

The tee or Y should be brass or nylon to prevent corrosion and preferably have a barbed surface and good well-fitting clips should be used to secure the hoses.
Good quality plastic fittings are difficult to source and brass fittings equally so. I suggest having a look around locally and take a cut hose with you to show the guys what sort of size you are seeking.

You might eventually decide to make the manifold which will be a satisfactory and permanent solution. A pressure reducer might be needed in the "hot" water supply and a standard type would fit into the 15mm copper pipe.

Hot water does not come in, only cold water comes in, the water pump works on cold water does not start on hot water

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

There are no water inlet pumps on standard washers- the water, both for hot and cold, is fed in simply under 'mains' pressure.
(The following is pre-typed for hot and cold!)

If you have checked that the hot and cold water taps are turned on fully and the hoses are not kinked or squashed at the back, it is worth while checking both the hot and cold water inlet filters. Turn the taps off and remove both hoses at the washer end. Inside each inlet port there is normally a little filter which should just slide out. Clean if necessary and replace each one and the hoses. If after turning the taps back on there is no improvement, the problem is symptomatic of a malfunctioning hot or cold water control valve. Sorry but it needs a service call and a check that it isn't the control PCB ;-0(

Will not fill. I have replaced the water inlet valve. What else could be the problem?

Check all of the wiring then sorry it needs a service call probably for the control PCB not feeding correct voltage to the valve;-0(

The cold water just trickles into the machine, the hot water fills fine. I removed the hose from the wall and cleaned that filter. Is there another filter I can clean out?

Hello klj... Unscrew the cold hose from both ends and run a wire through the entire length to remove any blockage anywhere. Also check the connection locations looking for calcification of some kind. If it's clean, you probably have a defective water-inlet valve. If so, you need to replace the valve. Joe

Thanks for choosing Fixya!

Hot Water pipe is not connected. Cold water is ...

The best way to stop your situation is to connect the hot hose to the hot tap. A hardware store should have a female cap you can screw onto the back of the machine, or get a male plug, same thread as a tap and plug the end of the hot hose. Elevating the end of the hot hose may help..It's normal for water to flow out the hose as you've described...Good luck...Nomess

Water filter at inlet hose on LG WM2016CW

Following a 1E error I found the gaskets in both supply hoses had perished and the debris had blocked the mesh inlet filters, causing the grinding noise that the pump makes when it can't get water. The original LG filters are indeed removable, in bits. Their little plastic tag for pulling them out snaps off so you end up digging the filter out, just be careful 'cos there's another mesh behind the filter on the hot and there's a rubber seal behind the cold one. Easiest thing is to forget replacing them with original parts and get the old fashioned kind from Lowes etc, $2 for a 3 pack, these fit into the end of the supply hose and are a rubber gasket with mesh in the middle so you won't even need to buy gaskets to replace the ones that fell apart.

Machine stopped for no reason

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

Rate me pl.....if helped. Click on 'thanks for trying' if not helped, your prob will be back for someone else to solve.
