You neglected to specify the make and model of your camera so I'm going to assume it uses SD/SDHC cards.

SD/SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

SOURCE: THIS IS THE SECOND MEMORY CARD THAT HAS GOTTEN

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

SOURCE: When I turn on the camera it is showing "Card

Take a look at your memory card. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

If that doesn't work, try a different card.

SOURCE: My camera suddenly had the message "card locked!".

The problem is your memory card. We can't fix it. The best solution is to buy a new one. Remember if you got an message error like that it shows that your memory card is going to be a dead set. don't use it again it may working for sometime's but suddenly its error appear again and picture got lost. USED A NEW ONE.

My camera suddenly had the message "card locked!".

If this camera uses SD cards then what may be happening is that the little lever that drops into the slot on the side of the card to indicate locked or unlocked is jammed in the locked position. If you shine a flashlight in you might be able to see where the pin is.

Shot A 530, and it appears in the display the notation: "Card Locked On" I can do to unlock

I guess that your memory card is an SD type. These cards have a little switch on the card that can write protect or "lock" it. Take the card out of the camera and check this switch. To unlock it, it should be moved towards the edge of the card which has the electrical contacts.

"Card Locked " appears in viewer in all functions except View .

SD card has a mechanial tab on the edge of the card to lock the card out to prevent accidental deletion of pictures by the camera . This tab had been accidently moved to the LOCKED position during CD card insertion/removal from the camera . Once tab had been returned to normal position . Every thing works fine now . JC
