Question about Canon Pixma Mp250 Allinone Inkjet Photo Laser Printer
Hi.. can you help me with my problem? my printer wasnt used for a long time then when i tried, the cyan wont come out.. deep cleaned it a hundred times then cleaned the carttridges manually..wat to do next? can i attach a sample of a pic here?
Sounds as if the printhead of the colour cartridge has dried up. I would try the following:
1. Fold a piece of kitchen tissue (or any other non fibrous tissue) a couple of times and dab it under a tap to create a small damp patch. For best results make sure the water is warm.
2. Take the cartridge out of the printer and hold the damp patch over the printhead for 30-60 seconds.
3. You should now hopefully have a small ink soaked patch on the tissue with traces of all the relevant colours.
4. Then wipe the printhead several times on the dry part of the tissue and you should start to see the colours come through.
5. Reinstall and run one more head cleaning cycle.
If this doesn't help I would recommend replacing the cartridge, as it has the printhead attached to it.

Your problem is the print head. You can buy one from Canon for about $95, or find them new from dealers on Ebay for $60 to $70. For a less expensive fix, try to remove the print head and clean it. (You don't need any tools, just remove the ink tanks and pull the print head forward and out. Over time, the receivers tend to get dry & crusted ink on them. Note that the inks used are fast drying inks to keep your pictures, etc. from smudging after you print them. Try not to use solvent. I use q-tips and hot water, then dry using another q-tip. If this does not work, there are commercial cleaning kits available for about $10. Short of that, your choice is to replace the print head or the printer itself. My i960 prints such good quality color prints and normal color printing, that I would fix it rather than replace the printer. I hope the easy cleaning does it for you!

The print head is clogged.Try unclogging manually.Open the cover and first remove the ink cartridges. Then open the holder and remove the print head.Run hot tap water and put the print head with the nozzles up to stream water.Hold that 5 mins then turn the print head around
with the nozzles down.Hold that for every color of 5 mins. Then put the print head in hot water with the nozzles down.Left it water about 15 mins and then you must very nice to dry. When the print head dry put it in printer and start cleaning. If this not help you need to replace the print head. It's part number is QY6-0049.
