5C00 means you need to replace the purge unit,the purge unit is blocked or skipped.Try to unzip the printer and try to replace the purge unit,the purge unit is on the rigth of the printer.
If you try to clean the print head and nothing,first need to replace the print head....if the problem persist you need to replace the purge unit too.The purge unit is on the rigth of the printer,you must unzip the printer to reach the purge unit.
NOTE If you replace the print head you need to use only original cartridge canon,the head is verry sensitive at refill cartrige or compatible.

The 5C00 code is for purge cam sensor error meaning an error occurred in the purge unit. You can remove the purge assembly and clean out all the ink covering the moving parts. You can clean it with isopropyl alcohol or just water. If no luck, replace the purge unit, will be around $30. This is the part number, if you need to replace it: Purge unit (QM2-2925).
